Technical Inventory Partner Manager

WHAT YOU’LL DO


As a Technical Inventory Partnership Manager, you will serve as a crucial bridge between Viant and key media exchanges, ensuring that systems, tools, and relationships run efficiently. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external media owners to maintain a seamless flow of digital media inventory while upholding the integrity and performance of ad placements.


You will manage inventory data, provide strategic insights, and analyze auction dynamics to optimize media supply paths and identify potential fraud or inefficiencies. The role involves technical troubleshooting, supporting Private Marketplace (PMP) deals, and ensuring alignment between campaign needs and the technology stack.



THE DAY-TO-DAY
  • Lead and manage relationships with media exchanges to ensure an efficient, fraud-free media marketplace and drive optimal ad performance.
  • Analyze auction patterns and evaluate media supply paths to identify efficiencies and eliminate suspicious seller activity, using advanced SQL, BigQuery, Python scripting, and proprietary tools.
  • Strategically optimize DSP configurations to improve campaign performance and media spend.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to troubleshoot PMPs and/or advertiser/publisher issues
  • Oversee publisher integrations and necessary 3rd party vendor certification tests
  • Provide DSP configuration recommendations to improve campaign performance and spend 
  • Stay updated on industry trends related to supply chain transparency, fraud prevention, and new OpenRTB standards.
  • Create and maintain reporting dashboards in tools like Tableau to present insights and performance metrics to key stakeholders.


GREAT TO HAVE
  • 1-5 years of proven experience in digital advertising or a relevant field, particularly with DSPs, SSPs, ad servers, or inventory management platforms.
  • Expertise in analyzing large datasets and delivering clear, actionable insights to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with at least one or more ad serving technologies either DSPs,SSPs, Ad Managers, Ad Servers ect.
  • Ability to think critically about both client needs and internal solutions
  • Strong documentation skills for capturing the project and processes
  • Proven ability to learn and adopt new technologies
  • Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, BigQuery, Tableau, Airflow, GCP, AWS and other web/cloud technologies is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics).
  • Nice to have: IAB Digital Media Certification, or cloud certifications such as AWS or GCP.

$55,600 - $70,000 a year
In accordance with California law, the range provided is Viant’s reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role.  Actual pay will be based on several factors including work experience and education.
