Vice President, Corporate Marketing

Cloudinary is looking for an outstanding VP of Corporate Marketing to evolve and amplify our story and own the narrative to the various constituents like prospects, customers, analysts, press, influencers, executives, and more. You will help bring our vision to life through impactful and compelling storytelling that evokes strong emotional responses. You will own global communications including public media and analyst relations, exec comms, and thought leadership. You will set an inspiring vision for corporate marketing, leading, coaching, and developing a team of high-performance employees, contractors, and agency resources to achieve company and marketing objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and evolve a compelling corporate narrative that elevates our brand image, makes it easier for customers to understand the value we drive and helps drive registrations and pipeline
  • Collaborate with the various teams to build a message house, positioning, and narratives for various audiences and channels
  • Create high-quality content with simple language and impactful storytelling
  • Support content needs across all internal and external touchpoints
  • Build and maintain a world-class website that incorporates cutting edge UX and CRO practices to create high-converting and low-friction journeys for all audiences
  • Amplify our story in the market through various channels like analysts, press, social, events, influencers, customer advocates, and more
  • Build and grow brand awareness by creating memorable moments in time through targeted impactful brand campaigns
  • Build an AR strategy to engage key analysts in the industries we play and position Cloudinary as a leader through proactive briefings
  • Secure top tier media coverage by creating innovative pitches for different audiences
  • Build and scale customer advocacy programs to generate testimonials, customer stories, recruit customer speakers and content contributors, build high-touch engagements with marquee customers, support user groups, and more
  • Lead the strategy for our annual user conference to build thought leadership, engage customers, and generate a pipeline
  • Develop brand guidelines to create high quality and consistent content and storytelling across all external touchpoints to elevate brand image
  • Implement brand policies and governance
  • Develop KPIs to measure the efficacy of all programs across AR, PR, website, and social media to maximize ROI and build predictable, repeatable motions.

Experience:

  • 10+ years experience in PR, AR, and Communications
  • 5+ years experience in high-growth SaaS companies
  • Prior experience building brand awareness for a startup
  • Prior experience working with highly technical audiences like IT, Dev, Ops, etc.
  • Experience managing agencies and freelancers
  • Deep understanding of self-serve product-led growth, SaaS brand practices, design thinking, and UX.

  • Excellent communication skills with powerful storytelling in simple language.
