The Vice President of Home Care for Hackensack Meridian At Home manages operations for home care businesses throughout NJ. The position is responsible for the overall quality of services, patient satisfaction, and employee engagement results. The Vice President is responsible for financial performance of the home care offices and programs operating under the Hackensack Meridian At Home umbrella as well as all home care joint ventures. The Vice President provides leadership, direction and coaching through a management team within the company.
Responsibilities:
A day in the life of a VP, HMH at Home at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:
  • Develops business/marketing/strategic plans for the certified business. Accountable for the design and implementation of all plans of action which support the strategic plan, as well as educating and supporting managers to achieve goals. Works directly with the sales team to identify target areas for growth opportunities including merger/acquisition opportunities.
  • Tracks and reports various performance and operational statistics to identify variances from established targets on a monthly basis, staying in tune with reimbursement trends making changes as needed to assure maximum effectiveness.
  • Manages all aspects of revenue cycle management assuring strong cash results and AR.
  • Works closely with the Senior Vice President to assist in preparation of the quarterly board reports. Identifies pertinent and concise information for the board.
  • Builds effective teams committed to organizational excellence, maintaining a relationship with staff by creating an environment that encourages development by empowering teams to share ownership and vision.
  • Works closely with Human Resources to coordinate and manage employee issues and concerns. Creates an environment that encourages communication of any employee concern or issue. Recruitment efforts demonstrate an ability to respond to market conditions and remain competitive. Manages turnover.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with a broad range of both internal and external entities that provide both regulatory input, guidance and support.
  • Is a role model for all managers exhibiting a strong commitment to innovation. Maintains a culture that supports growth and working relationships with the team.
  • Assesses opportunities to pilot and enhance technology to accomplish product line objectives. Identifies innovative technologies for patients and families to improve efficiency in the delivery of their care.
  • Assures compliance with all applicable governmental regulatory agencies by directing all operations in a manner that supports the quality delivery of care.
  • Tracks quality indicators for all services provided comparing results to other similar agencies and services in New Jersey and nationally.
  • Is the champion for patient satisfaction working closely with staff to develop action plans to maintain quality patient satisfaction scores.
  • Assures adherence to Corporate Compliance regulations and regulatory agency standards including The Joint Commission (TJC) and State Licensure standards.
  • Works closely with Corporate Communications on the development of strategic initiatives for the marketing plan. Is the champion for the plan, working diligently to create and refine the marketing and promotion of the Hackensack Meridian at Home brand.
  • Maintains in depth knowledge of the home care industry and responds to all clinical/financial/regulatory changes.
  • Engages in high-level negotiations for home care contracting with vendors.
  • Responsible for staff development and training investing in opportunities to expand knowledge and develop employees.
  • Directs and oversees payroll.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
  • Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: (Note: First & last 2 bullets standard in all JDs)

  • Master’s Degree required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of Healthcare experience.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong team building and relationship management.
  • Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office and Google Suite platforms.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred
:
  • Home Care experience.
