The Opportunity
Job Summary: Marvell Semiconductor is seeking a highly skilled and experienced finance professional to serve as Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) reporting to the Senior Vice President of Finance.. As the VP of FP&A, you will play a critical role in leading and overseeing various financial planning, forecasting, and analysis functions of the company. This is a hands-on leadership position, requiring deep financial expertise and strong strategic thinking capabilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall financial planning and analysis function, driving accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis.
- Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic decision-making and business planning processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insightful recommendations to senior management for business improvement.
- Oversee the preparation of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and provide a comprehensive analysis of the company's financial performance.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management, including financial risk assessment, investment opportunities, and cost optimization strategies.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and ensure strategic objectives and financial targets are aligned.
- Monitor and analyze key financial and operational metrics, identify areas of concern, and develop action plans to address any issues or opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the FP&A function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of processes and tools.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best financial planning and analysis practices to ensure compliance and maximize performance.
- Manage and develop a high-performing FP&A team, providing mentorship, guidance, and career development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Minimum of Master's degree.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity in semiconductor domain.
- Experience in the semiconductor or technology industry is required, with a solid understanding of industry dynamics and key performance drivers.
- Thorough understanding and practical skills managing product costs in a semiconductor or high technology manufacturing environment
- Extensive knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis techniques.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to link financial results to operational performance and strategic initiatives.
- Proven track record of successfully leading financial planning and analysis functions in a fast-paced, global organization.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to extract meaningful insights from complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders effectively.
- Strong leadership abilities with a collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Proficient in financial management systems and tools, including ERP systems, financial modeling software, and data visualization tools.
Expected Base Pay Range (USD)
250,000 - 310,000, $ per annum
The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
