Vice President of Global Talent

Central to the mission and purpose of CloudFactory is building leaders worth following and ensuring that both our core and cloud teams globally have the very best experience possible throughout their time at CloudFactory. The People and Culture Team is responsible for ensuring this experience is the very best it can be - all the way from our employer branding, to people’s growth and development, growing performance, and offboarding to alumni. We are looking for an experienced and exceptional VP of Global Talent to support the Chief People Officer (CPO) in designing and implementing the people strategy and experience at CloudFactory as we scale over the next 36 months from 650 FTEs to 1000+ alongside our fast-growing global cloud workforce from 7,000 to 15,000+ currently based in Nepal, Kenya, USA, and the UK.

As our VP of Global Talent, you will partner with a Global People & Culture Leadership Team to design and implement the people experience for all of the core team employees and with our Global Director of Cloud Success to ensure our Cloud Team has the very best end to end experience. The VP of Global Talent will sit as a key member of the People & Culture Leadership team which is led by the Chief People Officer and will be responsible for leading the global talent operations team, talent success team, talent acquisition team, the learning and development team and ultimately to be the custodian of the frameworks and brand of our employees value proposition across all locations.

Performance Objectives:

  • Integrate our global talent teams to deliver one single integrated and unified user experience for our people.
  • Drive innovation to scale our people model, and add valued expertise in how we enable the next generation of CloudFactory leaders. You will work closely with the CFO and give advice where requested to CloudFactory’s Senior Leadership Team.
  • Further define/evolve our employee value proposition, particularly focussing on embedding this vision into the employee lifecycle, providing expert guidance on our people management processes.
  • Design and operationalize our CloudFactory Leadership Academy across both our core and cloud teams that is equipping people to grow as leaders in every part of life. This Academy is central to our Employee Value Proposition (EVP) for both our core and cloud teams.
  • Lead and enable effective organizational change and transformation projects.

Ultimately, you will help us grow our teams across the globe but also be passionate about our mission to help 1 million people in developing nations digitally work their way out of poverty and become leaders in their communities. A big part of this mission is expressed through CloudFactory Academy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for the management, development, and integration of all people programs and frameworks (cultural, leadership, and competency-based) across the business to deliver a single unified experience for our core team globally.
  • Hold the design and operationalization of our end-to-end employee lifecycle and employee experience covering business partnering, compensation, people analytics, employee value proposition, and people development.
  • Partner with our global location leadership teams to ensure the CloudFactory EVP and CloudFactory Academy programs are aligned to a central design and embedded within the local employee experience.
  • Oversee the development of strategic Talent roadmaps and people projects in ways that support CloudFactory's mission and overall business strategy.
  • Manage the global Talent Acquisition & Talent Success Partner team, which incorporates core HR functions such as talent acquisition & retention, talent management, compensation & benefits creating and sustaining a high-performing team that reflects the values of CloudFactory.
  • Managing the Learning and Development Team and the Creative Design Team.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to deliver on the company’s vision and mission.
  • Ensure the right leadership pipeline (mapping of needs, identification of talent, and development of programs) is successfully established across the business to support future growth.
  • Ensure all fundamental HR policies and procedures are in place and executed with excellence across every location.
  • Ensure a high-performing people organization is built by creating seamless growth frameworks and performance management that are integrated within our CloudFactory culture.
  • Take a lead on business-wide change programs and build out our change management framework and tool kit.

Requirements

  • Degree or Masters in Business Management and/or a relevant bachelor's degree level qualification.
  • Extensive experience working as a Senior HR leader in the complex global cross-culture environment. Familiar working with UK technology companies is an advantage.
  • Working in fast-growing, agile environments and leading HR professional teams within mature organizations.
  • Experience in the AI tech industry with an emphasis on platform companies.
  • CIPD Qualified
  • M&A/Expansion track record and change management experience.
  • Teamwork oriented with excellent people skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills with previous experience in leading a clear and purposeful communication within the company.
  • Experience in strategic planning and agile project implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of core HR functions (talent experience, talent acquisition, compensation, engagement, learning and development and internal communication).
  • Knowledge of US/UK and international labor law.
  • An excellent communicator.
  • You have proven global leadership experience and have worked with senior stakeholders to create alignment around common vision.
  • Experience in leading teams across different locations.
  • You are operationally outstanding and are able to support the process of vision and strategy creation but excel in the implementation and execution of agreed objectives
  • You’ve had significant experience in overseeing and scaling leadership development or mentoring programs across large user groups - ideally in a SaaS-based business or organization.
