Vice President of Marketing

Wider Circle is looking for an experienced Vice President of Marketing to join our team and play a leading role in the buildout of our marketing department. The ideal candidate is a self-driven, process-oriented leader who can effortlessly inspire through persuasive storytelling, creating meaningful connections with our customers (health plans and payer organizations such as Medicare Advantage and Medicaid Plans) and members (older adults and disadvantaged communities). They will build out a fully functional marketing department that works tirelessly to elevate Wider Circle in the minds of all its stakeholders. Responsibilities

  • Build the marketing function for a Series B B2B2C growth-stage company, recruiting a team, and developing critical marketing infrastructure (tech stack, key collateral, brand messaging and ecosystem of consultants)
  • Work with the leadership team to identify, define and implement programs that address the needs of the organization.
  • Develop and implement strategies to provide marketing support to the Sales, Business Development, Operations, People, and Training functions.
  • Design and implement targeted multi-channel B2C strategies to attract and retain members, including mail, SMS, email, phone, IVR, digital, social, advertising, etc.
  • Develop content and marketing materials to support member growth and retention initiatives; foster relationships and collaborate with outside creative resources to help execute on vision.
  • Create and execute annual strategic communications plans for key accounts (e.g., health plans and community partners).
  • Measure and share campaign performance to internal and external (customer) stakeholders.
  • Oversee strategy for member events and work with the field operations team to improve member engagement through events.
  • Develop consultative and strategic relationships with our customers on the topic of communications and member marketing.
  • Oversee public relations and build a media presence to support customer and member acquisition
  • Control the company website and social media channels, keeping them up-to-date and maintained to support our brand positioning.
  • Utilize a data-driven approach to monitor and interpret analytics for website, mailing campaigns, and social media.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in B2C, B2B and healthcare marketing positions, including experience in high-growth companies and leading (ideally) distributed teams.
  • 10+ years of omnichannel marketing experience, including email campaign software (e.g. SFDC Marketing Cloud, Marketo, Mailchimp) and social media (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
  • 3+ years experience marketing to Managed Care Organizations, Medicare Advantage Plans and Provider groups
  • Recent experience being the first marketing employee in a startup, building a team, and infrastructure preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, psychology, business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Broad knowledge and experience in marketing best practices, sales enablement, public relations, vendor management, project management, demand generation, branding, and marketing technology
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing scalable marketing solutions with a proven ability to design and implement strategies that drive business results
  • Ability to communicate complicated processes, programs, and company priorities clearly and concisely both in writing and verbally; Content writing and development experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced and constantly evolving remote work environment
  • Ability to travel ~5% of the time
