Job Summary:

Bear Robotics is seeking a Vice President of Operations who will take charge of the company's day-to-day operations. The VP of Operations is responsible for leading the operations activities in the organization and ensuring the development and implementation of efficient processes and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Make cross-functional workflows smoother by communicating needs to Sales, Marketing, Engineering and Product teams
  • Oversees the hardware distribution for the US side of the company
  • Recommending revenue optimization through strategic business modeling and service delivery improvements
  • Analyze internal operations and identify areas for process enhancement, including outsourcing experience.
  • Implement business strategies and plans that align with the short and long-term objectives of the company
  • Monitor performance with tracking software and implement corrective measures. Prepare detailed updates and forecasts.
  • Participate in formulating and administering company policies and developing long range product forecasting goals and strategic objectives
  • Maintains close collaboration with the executive management to assure the financial and business health of Bear Robotics.
  • Responsible for maintaining the highest ethical standards in all Operations functions.
  • Partner to identify and assess the viability and size of new business opportunities: new verticals, geographies, and products.
  • Provide projected financial impacts, both benefits (i.e., revenue/margin uplift, cost efficiencies) and costs (i.e., investments, resources), to implementing recommendations

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing a team of Directors/Managers within Business Operations Department

Required Skills/Abilities/Qualifications:

  • Strong working knowledge of financial statements with prior P&L responsibility required
  • Proficient knowledge of Netsuite, Google Suite, Slack, Salesforce, Jira, Confluence.
  • Sense of urgency in driving for results and delivering on commitments
  • Leadership skills characterized by rapidly assimilating a broad vision of needs and creating solutions that can be executed effectively
  • Advanced knowledge of financial systems
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Must have excellent communication skills; both written and oral
  • Passion for technology and scaling businesses
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment with a high degree of autonomy
  • Successful track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively persuade senior leaders and colleagues at all levels of the organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build productive and positive relationships across the organization at all levels

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations or Engineering
  • MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of organizational planning and leadership experience

  • Ability to work from Bear Robotics offices in Redwood City, CA or Addison, TX
