Video and Graphic Production Specialist

Position Summary:

Develops, implements, and maintains video and digital assets in support of Orlando Health’s mission and business objectives. Ensures the quality and integrity of digital and video communications.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
  • Develops copy as assigned for various media including video scripts.
  • Coordinates photo coverage, as applicable, to accompany news stories.
  • Works with relevant areas to assess communications requirements during the development phases of new projects and coordinates ongoing solutions. Works to develop and implement appropriate video/graphic design solutions for communications needs. Researches and acquires stories throughout Orlando Health by interviewing team members and patients and their family members, based on project.
  • Serves as digital media project and storytelling lead for assigned area.
  • Responsible for the process of identifying video projects and coordinating from beginning to end.
  • Produces each film by finding suitable locations, coordinating with hospital administration and unit leadership, supervise art direction and communicate clearly the vision of the film to any and all team members assisting during all phases of the production.
  • Determines lighting needs, shooting angle, white balance, set or location details, and sound levels.
  • Edits film through various drafts to create the best possible viewing experience for the audience. The editing process will include color grading, audio mixing, motion design and visual effects.
  • Creates various formats of finished piece that will be distributed through Orlando Health online channels, working with relevant teams to coordinate communication planning and strategy.
  • Creates and maintains a regular communications report to provide an overview of video performance. · Identifies Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and appropriate tracking requirements for video projects. Interprets resulting data and makes recommendations to stakeholders (may include comprehensive tracking analytics and tactics to target and develop varied audiences).
  • Edits final video and ensures quality, brand standards and consistency.
  • Works with web developers to integrate video into online applications and websites.
  • Ensures that all text submissions meet corporate writing and brand standards.
  • Stays informed of emerging communication trends, developments and technologies.
  • Shares communication digital media best practices with appropriate internal audiences.
  • Develops integrated digital media communication assets to support strategic or operational communication initiatives. Works with appropriate team members to regularly coordinate editorial calendars and communication scheduling.
  • Manages placement and distribution of video/digital media content on Orlando Health internal channels.
  • Works with Strategic Communications and Marketing team members to maintain appropriate brand and message consistency across digital media initiatives.
  • Tests and monitors all video, lighting and sound equipment to ensure proper function and makes suggestions for potential improvements when applicable.
  • Maintains a flexible work schedule in order to accommodate evening and weekend shifts and travel to on-site locations for taping.
  • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Other Related Functions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines, comfortably interact with all levels of management, including the President, and exercise discretion and good judgment in making decisions.
  • Assumes responsibility for ongoing professional development.
  • Coordinates and facilitates special programs, projects and initiatives.
  • Assists with written communication plans as necessary.
Orlando Health is a 3,238-bed system that includes 23 hospitals and emergency departments – 18 of which are currently operational with five coming soon. Qualifications:

Education/Training
Bachelor’s degree.
Licensure/Certification
None.
Experience
  • Two (2) years of experience operating video cameras and editing equipment.
  • One (1) year of experience in communications or public relations (may be concurrent with video experience listed above).
  • Extensive knowledge and use of Final Cut Pro, iMovie, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Design or similar software editing tools.
