Video Coordinator Women’s Basketball

The Video Coordinator will support the analysis, development, and success of the Women’s Basketball team. Through the use of video technology, this position will complete the filming of all Women’s Basketball games and practices, and use that video to design, implement, and evaluate developmental goals for the team and its players. This position will use analytics and software to determine player and team efficiencies and development goals to improve performance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Independently supervises all functions of the video component by breaking down video of all practices and competitions for coaching staff to analyze in game preparation.
  • Utilize basketball analytics techniques and software for player and team efficiency.
  • Data – in practices and games.
  • Collaborate in the design, implementation, and evaluation of player developmental goals, as well as the implementation of player development plans to fulfill those goals.
  • Oversees NCAA film requirements and ensures that all West Coast Conference video exchange requirements are met (includes technical requirements and time deadlines).
  • Has full accountability for inventory, storage, and maintenance of video sports equipment. Must maintain record of expenses and budgetary needs, working with staff to maintain team operating budget.
  • Film all practices and games (home and away). Set up video equipment to allow players and coaches to watch film while at home and on the road.
  • Assist with gameday preparations and set up.
  • Assist with social media posts.

Special Conditions of Employment:

  • Ability to work nights and weekends are required.
  • Ability to travel with teams when required.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; OR equivalent combination of education and experience at the rate of two years of work experience is equivalent to a Bachelor's degree.
  • One year of related experience is required.
  • Knowledge of the game is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Videographer experience preferred.
  • Previous experience with a Division I women’s volleyball program is preferred.
  • Knowledge of rules and regulations of the NCAA, West Coast Conference, and University of San Diego preferred.

Performance Expectations: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and Google Drive applications
  • Possess ability to communicate effectively one-to-one, in small groups and in public speaking contexts; writes precise, well-organized emails, letters and proposals while using appropriate vocabulary and grammar.
  • Effectively performs duties and responsibilities; displays attention to detail; supports organizational policies; anticipates demands/pressures of assignments and adjusts accordingly.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • HeartSaver CPR /AED certification required. Must have this certificate within 6 weeks of employment.
  • Must pass NCAA Division I Coaches Recruiting Test, (yearly). Must complete this within 6 weeks of employment.
Posting Salary:

$5,373.34 - $5,373.35 per month; Excellent Benefits

The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience, education and other factors including departmental budget.
