Job Description:

The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) is a unique international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria.

VIE Main Requirements:

- European Union citizens (plus Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Monaco), graduates up to and including 28 years old.

- Have fulfilled military obligations for their country, if any.

A VIE for a Quality Inspector (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Mobile, Alabama . You will join the FAL A320 Quality team .

Contract duration: 24 months, starting date: 01/09/2023

This date is subject to flexibility due to country constraints and the health context related to COVID-19.

The Mobile plant is a major assembly and delivery site for Airbus commercial aircraft in the United States and one of the largest employment centers in the state. The site is one of four final assembly and delivery points for the Airbus A320 Family and one of two final assembly and delivery points for the Airbus A220.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks will include:

• Perform technical and visual inspections throughout the aircraft production cycle

• Ensure compliance with design standards, customer requirements and certification requirements

• Document the technical inspections carried out on SAP and the various IT systems

• Prepare inspection reports

• Contribute to problem solving, promote continuous improvement and participate in quality survey requests

• Compile all technical data of non-conformities

• This position requires shift schedules. You will therefore have to be available accordingly.

Required skills

You have the following skills and experience:

• Bac+2/+3 level in the fields of Aeronautics, Physical Measurements, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical/Electrotechnical Engineering, Quality

• A minimum level of English enabling you to read written instructions and express yourself orally (even if basic).

• Motivated and rigorous

• Open minded

• Curious and interested in discovering a new culture
