VIE - Web Designer

As part of its development, Sia Partners is looking for a web designer (under a VIE contract – see below).

The web designer is responsible for the development and execution of digital strategies and design concepts for a variety of digital project types including corporate branding sites, annual report microsites, digital sustainability reports and other digital communications.

Your main responsibilities are as follow:

• Understand and meet the objectives of the project brief and strategy
• Work closely with and taking direction from senior team members in visualizing concepts, developing presentations and prototypes, and communicating ideas throughout the life of the project
• Participate in creative reviews, both internal and client facing
• Work closely with UX and strategy teams to create compelling user-experiences. Occasionally taking on the role of UX designer, as needed
• Work closely with and effectively relay concepts to both the digital production team and the development team
• Receive client feedback and refine concepts and layout to meet client and agency needs
• Collaborate with third party creatives, e.g. illustrators, animators, videographers, producers etc.
• Oversee and/or contribute to QA/QC as needed

• Thorough understanding of contemporary user-centric design methodologies
• Working knowledge of digital processes, agile, waterfall, etc.
• Proficient in Figma
• Working knowledge of digitally focused graphic design principles and all relevant design applications
• Basic understanding of development fundamentals
• Excellent communicator and collaborator
• Adept at managing multiple projects at once
• High-levels of self-initiative and flexibility
• Ability to work in a clean, organized, and structured process
• Fluency in English is a must

Requirements:

• At least bachelor level or equivalent in a design-related profession
• Around 3 years of practical, on the job digitally-focused experience
• Proven ability to meet deadlines
