Visa Cross-Border Solutions offers deep money movement capabilities to organizations across the globe. Powered by Currencycloud technology, Visa Cross-Border Solutions enhances, streamlines and simplifies integrating the cross-border financial tools of tomorrow. Clients can embed cross-border finance into the heart of their business and create sophisticated and user-friendly app-based experiences, connecting consumers and businesses around the world. Since 2012, the technology behind Visa Cross-Border Solutions has been used to process more than 250bn USD to over 180 countries, partnering with banks, businesses and fintechs all over the world. 


This role supports a wide range of communications, with specific responsibility for media relations, communication across social channels for stakeholder engagement and to drive positive conversations, and create external speaking opportunities, to enhance our corporate reputation, support business objectives and drive growth globally. 


You will manage and support teams with agencies to oversee communication campaigns that reflect these areas’ increased importance to Visa’s long-term growth strategy. You will consult with and counsel cross-functional teams to support the delivery of business objectives and drive end-to-end campaign delivery, which can include external communications plans, content development and working with media and/or agency to drive messaging to market. It is vital for the applicant to demonstrate knowledge and capability in helping engage our stakeholders to reinforce Visa’s vision for the future of commerce as it relates to our long-term commitment to uplift everyone, everywhere and by being the best way to pay and be paid.  


In addition to delivering high-quality communication programs, you will act as a trusted advisor to the Visa Cross-Border Solutions leadership team helping them talk about their business objectives in a way that has a meaningful impact in the communities in which we operate. You will also play a key role in ensuring the company’s public and client-facing messages are communicated with a whole-of-Visa perspective, working with the Commercial Money Movement Solutions (CMS) communications team and Legal to make sure all content, from press releases to awards, is consistent and aligned. 


Essential Functions: 


  • Operate as a communications business partner, working with the Head of Communications to build and nurture relationships with internal stakeholders in Visa North America team. 
  • Define and deliver internal / external communications strategy and materials leveraging multi-media formats / channels. 
  • Liaise with media, leveraging contacts across fintech, finance and business media. 
  • Work closely with our communications agencies to mine and develop new story angles. 
  • Monitor media, carefully assessing risks and opportunities. 
  • Measure impact providing key learnings in support of continuous improvement. 
  • Co-ordinate multiple projects / workstreams to drive impact. 
  • Exercise discretion and judgement and help manage complex issues / scenarios. 


This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice. Strong Preference for remote work to be based in NY near our NY office.

Qualifications


Basic Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)


Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
  • 5+ years experience working with global brands to develop their corporate communications strategies.
  • Experience developing media angles and liaising with local, national and trade media.
  • Strong influencing and communication skills to act professionally, calmly and persuasively when dealing with key internal stakeholders in a matrixed, multi-national corporate environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability and flexibility to manage multiple projects under pressure.
  • Experience of media evaluation and analysis.
  • Experience of using digital channels and social media strategies for PR purposes.
  • Strong planning and project management skills.
  • Budget management.


Additional Information


Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 102,300 to 130,500 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
