We are seeking a candidate with a demonstrated ability to lead by influence with a record of successfully delivering modern, large-scale, complex services and products. This is accomplished by leading multiple large diverse technical teams at all levels and closely collaborate with program and product teams. 

Your mission is to provide hands-on leadership to multiple development teams and build a world-class team of engineers. The focus is on defining, executing, and delivering functional and non-functional features at scale quickly and promoting a diverse culture of cross-functional collaboration and engineering excellence. Be an idea leader and bring industry best practices to benefit the team and the wider organization. The ability to synthesize and simplify complex needs including business capabilities and operational efficiencies while conforming to regulatory, security and privacy requirements is required.

As a Senior Director in Acceptance Solutions, you will pave the way for our most important asset, our engineering teams, to deliver amazing features of the highest quality. You will be working with colleagues, who will help, support and challenge you every day.

You will actively collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Program Management, Development, and Platform Architecture teams to guide and provide leadership. You maintain awareness of dependencies between projects and delivery vision, while ensuring engineering excellence to the six nines. You build the strategy for your teams to architect, design and deliver the next wave of enterprise FinTech innovation.

Essential Functions

  • Drive the design, implementation, and deployment of secure, reliable, robust and interoperable products.

  • Provide leadership across the engineering organization to ensure solutions are built in alignment with platform principles and standards of six nines availability.

  • Drive excellence in engineering practices across the SSDLC.

  • Partner with Product teams on requirements and prioritization. Influence product strategy and roadmap.

  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team of software developers, data engineers, AI & ML experts, test engineers, release engineers.

  • Develop and nurture the engineering team by hiring critical talent, driving retention, motivating, and mentoring staff, and driving career growth for team members. Build an inclusive team culture, and a culture of ownership and accountability.

  • Drive strategic impact for EOR by delivering fit-for-purpose products with an accelerated time to market.

  • Ensure strong program management and governance practices for your team.

  • Forge strong partnerships with key stakeholders across Technology & Business.

  • Role model Visa Leadership Principles (VLPs)

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
