Frontend Developer - Movio
As we continue to grow and build innovative solutions, taking advantage of novel insights into our audience data, we're looking for a talented Frontend Engineer to join our Movio team. With a frontend focus, you'll work in an environment where decisions are yours to make and you can share ideas. We get behind every individual to make real & lasting contributions.
Our applications require high performance and process lots of data, giving our engineers experience with concurrency, functional programming, fault-tolerant systems, and distributed cloud architectures. Testability and Continuous Integration are very important to us, and we have great test coverage. You'll need to be able to work well in an autonomous and diverse environment while being able to prioritise effectively.
We maintain real-time, authoritative data on customer transactions for many of the world’s biggest cinema chains and capture the behaviour of millions of moviegoers worldwide.
About the role
- Play a key role in the further development of our core Movio product, with a focus on React (and the opportunity to gain exposure to Golang too)
- Aid in the prioritisation, scoping and implementation of new features for the product
- Interact with key business stakeholders
- Collaborate with other teams around integration, and requirements
- Debug and troubleshoot existing production systems
You'll need:
- Proven experience in a front end Software Engineer role, ideally working on SaaS products
- Excellent knowledge of React, CSS, SCSS, HTML and frontend test suites.
- An interest in GraphQL, Auth0, Python and/or Golang would be beneficial
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills to create excellent, practical, pragmatic solutions
- Ability to provide technical leadership in the frontend space, as well as take ownership of features from initial concept to production
- Well-developed people skills with the ability to mentor more junior level engineers
