Deep/Machine Learning Engineering Intern Hybrid On-Site Role Summary: The Product Systems team supports online services and infotainment systems with end-to-end project management and reporting, end-to-end system test and validation, and issue analysis. The intern's role will focus on supporting the team in machine learning techniques that will enable the team and project to work efficiently and productively. Role Responsibilities Support the engineering team with machine learning techniques for data and trace analysis (Neural networks, LLM, Generative AI) Support test automation framework with active code writing in Python Data Analysis Derive new test cases in test automation framework after alignment with function owners Support with testing to learn different online services and infotainment functions Qualifications Must be enrolled at a University/College or Graduation date must be within the last six months. Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. Engineering Major (Computer Science / Software Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering) Deep learning / Machine Learning / Large Language Models experience and/or relevant coursework Good Python scripting experience and/or coursework GitHub, Git, MySQL knowledge Ethernet, TCP/IP protocols knowledge Wireshark knowledge is a plus JIRA/Confluence knowledge is a plus Proactive learning attitude Required Traces from telematics and infotainment systems of vehicles and benches Bug/Issues tracking system of NAR development Specifications to online services and infotainment features Pre-production vehicles In Belmont, California, the hourly rates for this role are based on level of education: Undergraduate (Junior or Senior): $35/hour Volkswagen Group of America is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
