Senior Backend Engineer

Vonage is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help develop a real-time platform for the new Network APIs. They offer the opportunity to work with a fast-growing team on challenging projects that have a global impact.

Skills

Excellent software engineering skills in Java
High performance distributed computing
Object-Oriented Design and standard design patterns
Multi-threaded, 3-tier architectures, web services, and caching
Event-driven pipeline experience
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
Experience with AWS and cloud environments
SQL / NoSQL databases knowledge
Deployment using Docker and Kubernetes

Responsibilities

Building systems to add features across the Global Network Platform
Creating scalable microservices to support growth
Writing efficient and scalable code in well-tested systems
Developing on a public cloud infrastructure
