Job Title: Part-Time Partnerships Intern
Department: Partnerships
Reports to: Senior Partnerships Manager
Internship Dates: September 3rd - November 22nd 2024.
Classification: Intern
Weekly Hours Expectation: 5-10  hours/week
Pay: $18/75/hour

Job Summary:

The General Partnerships Intern will support the Partnerships team in various tasks related to establishing and nurturing partnerships with external partners. Responsibilities include assisting with partnership outreach and communication and providing support for partnership programmatic efforts like Civic Health Month & Civic Holidays. This role offers valuable exposure to partnership development and collaboration strategies in a dynamic work environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in Partnership Research: Conduct research to identify potential partnership opportunities aligned with organizational goals and objectives, particularly focusing on helping build plans.
  2. Support Partnership Outreach: Aid in outreach efforts to initiate and maintain relationships with potential partners, including drafting emails, making calls, and scheduling meetings, while staying informed about voting rights legislation, healthcare policies, and related issues.
  3. Collaborate on Partnership Proposals: Assist in the development of partnership presentations by gathering relevant data and insights, and researching and analyzing policy issues relevant to the organization’s mission and programs.
  4. Provide Administrative Support: Handle administrative tasks such as maintaining partnership databases, organizing documents, and leveraging proficiency in technology and digital tools for organizing efforts, data management, or communication.
  5. Contribute to Partnership Communication: Help draft communication materials, including partnership agreements, newsletters, and social media posts, to promote partnerships and engage stakeholders, demonstrating adaptability and willingness to engage in diverse tasks, supporting various aspects of the organizing team's initiatives and contributing to the dynamic needs of the team.
  6. Participate in Partnership Meetings: Attend partnership meetings, ensuring clear communication and follow-up on action items, and take notes if needed, while also contributing insights on policy issues relevant to the organization's mission and programs.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's student in any health-related track (i.e. Pre-Med, Public Health, Healthcare Management, etc.)
  • At least two years of related experience is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working at a computer.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to travel a minimum of twice per year.
