VP, Data Intelligence

Job Description

We’re looking for a VP, Data Intelligence to join Procore’s Data, Technology and Security organization. In this role, you’ll oversee data product management, data science and AI/ML, data engineering, and advanced analytic teams. Procore is on a journey to become a Data-First Company. As VP, Data Intelligence, you’ll partner with business stakeholders across Procore to scale the necessary data requirements and infrastructure to deliver on our growth goals and set the foundation for the next decades of innovation. This includes building customer experience innovations and exploring novel new AI/ML formats to power the next decades of improving the lives of everyone in Construction.

This position reports into Chief Data Officer, and will be based in our in Carpinteria, CA or remotely in the US. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you’ll do:

• Responsible for defining the strategy, architecture and execution of Procore’s Data Organization. Develop and own the Procore data roadmap by driving impact through innovative use of data
• Evolve our strategy and roadmap for Generative AI, defining the goals/OKRs in partnership with collaborative teams
• Driving AI/ML innovation, redefine existing workflows and enable our customers and employees to be more creative and productive. Ensure that all of our products adhere to ethical standards
• Craft and communicate data as a product strategy across organizations – gain consensus, encourage collaboration and influence executives to acquire necessary resources
• Develop, implement, and execute on a multi year scalable Data-First Operating Model
• Lead, mentor, and grow the performance of the Data team, coaching them to achieve excellence in quality and data-driven decision making.
• Follow and share industry trends in data science, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning/Data Science, Robotics, IoT, Big Data, Social Media/Collaboration, Mobility etc.
• Ensure there is data governance, tooling , and reporting capabilities to drive the business.
• Work with stakeholders across Procore to help incorporate company goals and initiatives into the vision and plans for the Data Organization

What we’re looking for:

• 15+ years of total industry experience, with a proven background in digital transformation and digital technologies; preferably SaaS companies at scale
• Be a great leader of people who empowers and inspires; a consensus builder; and able to work across the business seamlessly to achieve shared business goals
• Deep passion for data and innovation in how decisions will be transformed by and AI/ML
• Experience leading the innovation and thought leadership in how we leverage data-driven algorithms, AI platforms, and techniques to improve the customer experience
• Master’s in engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics Economics, Data Science, or similar fields preferred. MBA preferred.
• Demonstrable ability to communicate, collaborate, and align with stakeholders and executives across the organization. Previous experience being a change and transformation agent.

Additional Information

Base Pay Range $243,600-$334,950. Eligible for Bonus Incentive Compensation. Eligible for Equity Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation, and has provided an estimated pay range for this role. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
