Who you are

Your success in developing, scaling and leading a strong digital advertising sales team has given you extensive insight into agency, retail media, eCommerce or major new media and ad platform environments. You have built strong, valuable relationships with clients that have evolved into long-term, rewarding partnerships. Your ability to navigate and align cross-functionally (Account Management, Strategy, etc.) and cross-organization (Brand, CRM, etc.) has resulted in a strong common vision with common goals for your team. You have an excellent record of creating, building & refining strong sales strategies, and have set and tracked team goals and sales targets accordingly. You build processes for account qualification and have created scalable methods to ensure every member of the sales team can qualify an account. Your industry knowledge brings a clear understanding of the media landscape, as this role is an ideal fit for a candidate with over 12 years of digital ad sales and leadership experience, who thrives on developing the talent around them.

What the role is

The VP of Ad Sales is the dynamic leader of Drizly’s Retail Media Network Ad Sales Team. This role will deliver long term business objectives, while constantly adapting and prioritizing plans to meet short- and long-term goals. The VP of Ad Sales will lead all aspects of the day-to-day sales operations, ensuring the team is enhancing results through solution selling. This person will hold the team accountable for building internal and external relationships, while driving revenue for Drizly.

In this role you will:

    • Hire, develop and lead a hard-working, successful digital ad sales team
    • Build relationships with clients that result in long-term partnerships
    • Work cross-functionally, in partnership with Account Management, Finance, Ad Strategy and Brand to align on overall forecast and goals
    • Work with our Ad Strategy and Sales Planning teams, establishing sales targets and goals to drive our Ad Sales team forward
    • Regularly monitor performance to goal, identify any gaps to budget, and take decisive action as needed
    • Ensure the team understands Drizly’s Retail Media vision, while inspiring them to work toward that common purpose
    • Demonstrate business insights for leadership, applying your knowledge of the Retail Media business to advance both Drizly and our ad partners’ goals

Qualifications:

    • Strong knowledge of the media and advertising industry
    • Experience in building and maintaining strategic relationships
    • Ability to communicate effectively, with a track record of working directly with c-suite executives
    • Proven ability to deliver results based on a strategic approach
    • Experience forecasting sales targets with Finance, setting goals and tracking this through tools like SalesForce
    • Track record developing and managing marketing media sales collateral, presentations, reports, and project plans with an attention to detail
    • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and manage a team
    • Has successfully instilled trust with internal and external stakeholders
    • 12 plus years of successful media sales and leadership experience

For Colorado-based roles: The salary/hourly rate range for this role is $255,000 per year - $300,000 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Drizly's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award, commissions, & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
