Job Description

The Vice President, Brand Activation will lead our brand's outreach efforts across multiple channels including influencer partnerships, sports marketing, brand events, PR, social media and channel marketing. This role will be responsible for leading a team through developing and executing innovative marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, engagement, relevancy and ultimately fuel brand heat. This is a highly collaborative leadership role that will partner closely with brand strategy, creative & production teams to ensure alignment with overall brand objectives and goals. This role will report to our Chief Marketing Officer.

Qualifications

What you'll get to do: 

  • Develop the strategy and execution of comprehensive marketing activation strategies aligned with overall brand and seasonal objectives, focusing on brand events, PR, entertainment, social media initiatives, influencer partnerships, and sports marketing.
  • Build, lead and mentor a high-performing marketing activation team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Trusted cross-functional partner to leads across Product, Design, Merchandising and business operations.
  • Ability to influence across the company, as well as build trusted external relationships with partners aligned.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key influencers, creating partnerships that align with brand values and business objectives to amplify brand messaging.
  • Develop and execute sports marketing strategies and partnerships that enhance brand visibility and resonate with sports enthusiasts and relevant communities.
  • Drive integration across all activation pillars – ensuring aligned communications that drive powerful consumer connection & amplify our investments.
  • Partner with Brand Communications lead to ensure alignment across brand activation plans to brand & product marketing seasonal strategies.
  • Conceptualize, plan, and execute impactful brand events and activations that resonate with target audiences and enhance brand perception.
  • Develop and oversee PR strategies and campaigns to build positive brand awareness and manage the brand's reputation effectively.
  • Drive organic social media strategy and content creation, leveraging platforms to engage with consumers, drive traffic, and enhance brand presence online.
  • Utilize data analytics and insights to measure content performance, optimize strategies, and continually refine content efforts to achieve engagement, conversion, and ROI goals.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in content marketing to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.

Who you are: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 12+ years of progressive experience in marketing activation, brand events, PR, social media, influencer, and sports marketing, with at least 10+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic marketing plans that align with business objectives and drive measurable results.
  • Strong relationships with key influencers in our category, creating partnerships that align with brand values and business objectives to amplify brand messaging.
  • Demonstrated success in developing innovative marketing campaigns and activations that capture consumer attention and drive engagement.
  • Strong leadership and leadership skills with experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data and metrics to inform decision-making and optimize marketing strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas and strategies to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Deep understanding of current trends, best practices, and technologies in marketing, brand activation, social media, influencer, and sports marketing.

The salary range for this role is $290,000 per year - $315,000 per year. This role is bonus eligible.
