Job Title : Litigation Paralegal Job Location : Southfield, MI Job Type : Full Time Our client is looking for a Paralegal with experience in civil litigation to join our team in Southfield, Michigan. They are a fast-paced law firm with a practice that primarily deals with automobile negligence cases. Prior law office experience is required. Personal injury experience is required. They are looking for reliable individuals who have the ability to adapt to any given situation.Some of the responsibilities for the Litigation Legal Assistant include, but are not limited to:• Handling the attorneys calendar including scheduling depositions, facilitations, phone conferences, etc.• Drafting and filing various pleadings• Service of the Summons and Complaint• Drafting and obtaining signed authorizations• Sending correspondence as necessary• Coordinating settlement documents, drafting disbursements, and obtaining final liens• Trial preparationThe skills we require for this role include the following:• Proficiency in Word and Microsoft Outlook• Experience with MiFile/E-Filing• Ability to adhere to strict time deadlines• Time management skills• Excellent communication skills• Attention-to-detail• Organization• Multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure
