Position Summary...What you'll do...Director, Marketplace Strategic Initiatives - CollectiblesThis Director, Marketplace Strategic Initiatives role will be responsible for leading strategic initiatives and business operation s team for the Collectibles category. Collectibles is a strategic growth category for Walmart. The industry has seen incredible growth and dynamism recently. As the industry sees a new wave of innovation and consolidation, Walmart is poised to enter this exciting space, bringing new opportunity to the industry and sellers, while putting the hobbyist at the center . In this role you will lead our strategic planning processes for Collectibles , drive competitive insights and trend analysis, and evaluate new expansion opportunities, recommendations, and GTM strategies. You will partner with Omni and product teams on category specific initiatives focused on accelerating the growth of the Collectibles category and delivering best-in-class customer and seller experiences. This role involves high-level strategic thinking and executive communication, strong technical analytics skills, and process-oriented mindset to drive outcomes.You'll sweep us off our feet if:• You have a proven ability to use data analysis for informed decision-making.• You possess a proven track record successfully leading eCommerce strategic initiatives from zero to launch.• You have demonstrated ability in leading transformative changes across various initiatives.• You can influence outcomes and drive consensus across multiple levels. You thrive in a fast-paced setting and adept at managing ambiguity.• You exhibit a detail-oriented approach when engaging with key stakeholders.• You believe in and prioritize the collective success of the team and are quick to jump in, help, mentor, and coach your fellow team members.You'll make an impact by:• Developing and driving strategic initiatives: Identify and implement vertical business and seller growth initiatives in conjunction with relevant strategy and product teams. Manage specific features, functionalities, and tooling enhancements through the development of business cases, product requirements, GTM plans and overall project management.• Delivering data-driven insights: Develop insightful market and business intelligence including industry trends, competitive threats, category/assortment opportunities, etc. and present recommendations for VP+ cross-functional audiences to gain buy in.• Leading strategic planning and business operations : Lead WBR, MBR reporting processes to monitor progress against goals and surface actionable insights. Drive long-term planning cycles, guiding tops-down alignment for OKRs, goals, and bottoms-up assumptions supporting future growth.• Implementing new processes and ways of working: Build effective ways of working across teams and drive collaboration and coordination across functions. Identify opportunity areas that create efficiency, remove obstacles and improve business processes.• Building cross-functional advocacy : Build strong and trusting relationships with team members and business partners, works collaboratively and cross-functionally to achieve objectives and communicates with energy and positivity to motivate, influence and inspire commitment and action.• Developing Talent : Manage, coach and train a team of high-performing Associates in the development and execution of strategic initiatives.Minimum Qualification:• Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent experience in business or related fieldPreferred Qualifications:• 12+ years of successful eCommerce, marketplace, strategy, business operations or project management experience .• MBA preferred.• 5+ years demonstrated experience managing a team.• Experience in Collectibles preferred.• Strong analytical skills with deep experience across planning and forecasting, business performance analyses, market sizing and business case development.• Experience in leading commercial teams and managing change.• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a cross-functional team to drive business positive outcomes .• Assertive, adaptable and demonstrates initiative in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.The above information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed in the role.
