The GAM Program is committed to delivering excellence in every aspect of the supply chain and asset management process, ensuring the seamless operation of our clients' enterprises.Job SummaryThe Operations Specialist coordinates the organization's daily logistical operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, and distribution. They organize warehousing for goods, review inventory to ensure accurate product adjustments, and plan and schedule inbound and outbound shipments based on customer needs. Acting as a liaison between customers, freight carriers, and the shipping department, the Operations Specialist ensures on-time delivery by investigating and resolving any detention issues. Additionally, they assist with cost control by evaluating shipments, consolidating loads, and selecting the most cost-efficient shipping methods in accordance with Department of Defense guidelines.Roles And Responsibilities• Maintain records related to receipts, movements, and kitting of materials for consumption.• Ensure the accuracy of prepared material kits and update material quantities based on usage.• Communicate with production planners about part shortages that may delay the timely issuance of kits.• Inspect products for quality and quantity before kit builds to ensure alignment with material records.• Assist the material stockroom with monthly cycle counts, annual wall-to-wall inventories, and the receipt of materials.• Process product receipts and inductions, including the associated SAP transaction codes for material receipts, kitting pulls, inspection notifications, and material issuance.Basic Qualifications• Must be a US Citizen.• HS Diploma or equivalent, along with 2 years of related work experience.Preferred Qualifications• Must be Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.• Knowledge in SAP for material movement transaction.KBR BenefitsKBR offers a selection of competitive lifestyle benefits which could include 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending account, disability, paid time off, or flexible work schedule.
