Key Responsibilities: • Lead Sales and Business Strategy: Drive sales growth and business development initiatives by identifying market opportunities and implementing strategies to enhance revenue. Collaborate with the sales team to align lean practices with business objectives. • Champion Lean Implementation: Oversee the implementation of manufacturing systems and lean processes across the organization, ensuring these processes effectively detect, record, and minimize waste in quality, throughput, efficiency, and cost. Coordinate projects for rolling out lean initiatives and their integration into business operations.• Coach and Develop Leadership: Mentor and guide senior management and team leaders in lean principles and processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.• Enhance Engineering Controls: Support the development and management of lean Gates and engineering controls, ensuring they align with business goals and contribute to overall performance improvement.• Analyze and Report on Waste Trends: Provide actionable feedback to managers regarding waste trends and patterns, identifying opportunities for business growth and cost reduction.• Oversee Waste Reduction Activities: Supervise online waste reduction efforts to ensure adherence to lean manufacturing principles, including built-in quality, schedule adherence, time control, and resource utilization.• Drive Improvement Projects: Lead problem-solving efforts and spearhead improvement projects focused on waste reduction and process optimization. Utilize data analysis to guide decision-making and strategy development.• Coordinate Lean Metrics and Reporting: Develop and manage lean metrics, generate and distribute management reports, and create a governance package for plant leadership to ensure successful transitions and track progress.• Audit and Ensure Compliance: Conduct daily lean process audits to maintain compliance with standards and ensure effective execution of lean principles throughout the organization.• Support Change Management: Facilitate project change management by implementing lean practices across the facility and engaging with affected employees to ensure smooth transitions.• Foster Collaboration and Training: Support various functions, including training and improvement projects, to drive overall business effectiveness. Coordinate visits by leadership and representatives from other plants.• Other Duties as Assigned: Perform additional responsibilities as required to support business and operational goals.Qualifications:• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (e.g., engineering, quality, management, or business).• Experience: 10+ years of relevant work experience in engineering, manufacturing, or related fields, with a focus on leading fast paced, complex manufacturing operations. Preferring exposure to sales and business leadership as well. Equivalent combination of education and training may be considered.• Skills and Attributes:• Strong process-oriented thinking and a strategic mindset.• Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage teams.• Proven coaching, facilitation, and leadership experience.• Prior experience in lean manufacturing is desirable.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including advanced Excel functions.• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and present data effectively.• Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.• Customer-focused with a professional and friendly demeanor.• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities with effective resolution skills.• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.• Travel: Willingness to travel as needed.
