Job Description

As a Realty Project Coach, you will be part of the Realty Execution team, managing the progress of multiple projects at one time, and will be responsible for overseeing and managing store remodels, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Realty Project Coach will supervise hourly team members and handle escalations, working with store associates to complete projects on schedule and accept the travel requirements of the role.

Location: 25 Consumer Sq, Plattsburgh, NY 12901-6508

Salary: Starting at $60,000/annually

Shift: Primarily working overnights; night shifts average from 10 to 12 hours.

Travel: Frequent travel up to 1000 mi from home is a role requirement. Expect to be away from home 80% of the time, or for 17-21 days at a time.  

  • Travel domestically to and from multiple facilities or worksites requiring consecutive overnight stays.
  • Travel areas are based on project workload and will change as the business needs. Associate will be based out of a home store but can expect to travel surrounding states or farther to support projects.

Essential Functions

  • Project Ownership: Oversee execution of realty projects, manage timelines, facilitate stakeholder meetings, direct staff and vendors, plan merchandise placement, and ensure timely and safe implementation.
  • Project Implementation: Lead project plan execution, collaborate with stakeholders, direct associates, ensure requirements are met, coordinate with facility management, monitor timelines and contractors, verify fixture procurement, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and resolve outstanding issues.
  • Budget and Vendor Management: Monitor sales and project budgets, assess economic and customer impacts, create cost-effective schedules, coordinate with teams, and manage vendor relationships for timely and cost-effective material sourcing and installation.
  • Expertise and Guidance: Demonstrate up-to-date expertise, provide expert advice and guidance, support efforts to meet customer and business needs, and build commitment for perspectives and rationales.
  • Associate Direction: Direct associates and third-party supervisors on processes and procedures for project execution, merchandise placement planning, and resource allocation.
  • Concern Resolution: Identify and ensure associate, customer, and supplier concerns are resolved.
  • Coordination and Continuous Improvement: Coordinate job-related activities, develop relationships with stakeholders, identify goals and objectives, measure progress, address improvement opportunities, and promote continuous learning.
  • Associate Development: Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, and recognizing achievements while ensuring diversity awareness.
  • Compliance and Ethics: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, mission, values, and ethical standards by implementing action plans, utilizing the Open-Door Policy, and providing guidance on applying these in business processes and practices.
  • Business Solutions: Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships with stakeholders, identifying business needs, determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices, monitoring progress and results, recognizing improvement opportunities, and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.

Qualifications

Your Resume Will Stand Out With:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction remodels, project management, space management, and/or store design
  • Experience with managing projects, initiatives, or leading cross-functional teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field AND 1 years experience in project management, space management, store design, operations, data analysis, or related area
  • OR 3 years experience in project management, space management, store design, operations, data analysis, or related area.  
  • 6 months retail experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Leading a cross-functional team
  • Masters: Business
  • Project Management - Management Professional Certification (Project Management Institute) - Certification

Additional information

  • Must have a reliable transportation. 
  • Must be willing to work overnight shifts. 
  • Must be willing to travel to any work location within 1000 miles of home store region.  
  • Mileage will be reimbursed. 
  • Time traveling is not paid. 
  • Travel domestically to and from multiple facilities or worksites requiring consecutive overnight stays. 
  • Overnight stays will be paid for SPC roles.
  • Travel areas are based on project workload and will change as the business needs. Associate will be based out of a home store but can expect to travel to surrounding states or farther to support projects.
