Position Summary...What you'll do...ABOUT THE TEAM:Accounts Receivable Collections is the final step in the Accounts Receivable process for collecting amounts due from Walmart customers for various Walmart programs. It is part of the overall Accounts Receivable function and works internally with billing, cash and disputes teams to timely collect all receivables due to Walmart. The Collections team works with multiple Walmart business partners to ensure all monies due to Walmart are collected based on contractual obligations.ABOUT THE POSITION:Responsibilities include:• Manage customer portfolios through collection efforts via written communication and phone calls• Support customer disputes related to billing, payments, and collection efforts• Generate and submit invoice reversals and rebills as needed and requested by the business• Conduct account deep dives on challenging accounts and present to customers to support collection efforts• Collaborate with Accounts Payable on outstanding claim disputes impacting receivable balances• Stakeholder reporting• Partner across our team and with key customers and stakeholders to understand needs, identify root cause of issues, and work with management to implement effective solutions• Lead and participate in projects to implement new initiatives and to improve existing processesValued attributes:• Operational accounts receivable or general accounting experience, demonstrated ability to work independently while reprioritizing deliverables, clear communications, problem solver, continuous learner, efficient, customer centric, tech enthusiast, results-oriented, analytical, continuous improvement.You will make an impact by:• Problem solving – Identifying root cause of issues and designing and implementing solutions that provide effective operational accounting leveraging technology and minimizing risk• Adapting quickly – Adapting quickly to new challenges, new business relationships and changing situations• Supporting the business – Implementing processes to effectively support initiatives and changes while ensuring quality accounting and controls• Operating with excellence – Delivering solutions that work right the first time, align to company values and objectives, and meet agreed upon criteria while continuing to develop yourself and others• Articulating success – Communicating benefits clearly and routinely with partners and stakeholdersYou will be successful in this position if• You have a broad skill set with expertise in accounting, process transformation and excellence, and internal controls over financial reporting.• You are skilled at making complex topics easily understood through words and visuals.• You can clearly and succinctly communicate issues, impacts, and next steps.• You have high standards and efficiency.• You are energized by challenges and are ready to engage at all levels within the organization.At Walmart, we offer competitive pay as well as performance-based bonus awards and other great benefits for a happier mind, body, and wallet.
