Position SummaryThe Walmart Marketplace is a curated community of respected, professional sellers who offer only top-quality, authentic products and best-in-class customer service.You will be responsible for recruiting and launching our next generation of Marketplace sellers. You will work closely with the category seller growth teams to assess market opportunities and competitive trends and develop acquisition strategies to attract new accounts, expand assortment, and increase inventory. You will manage the E2E business development lifecycle from sourcing to transactability – ensuring our new sellers are fully equipped for immediate success. If you are “seller obsessed” and eager to create new business opportunities and inventory acquisition strategies that drive sustainable revenue growth, this role’s for you!What you’ll do…Focus on the process offinding new business prospects and new marketsby identifying new potential markets for selling products, developing new profit and revenue streams, and developing lists of potential prospects.Drive business growthby developing and maintaining internal and external business relationships; understanding and managing the mutual value propositions, risks, and benefits; and supporting engagement and dialogue with stakeholders to mitigate risks, resolve issues, and realize value proposition and subsequent business objectives.Drive the execution of multiple business plans and projects byidentifying customer and operational needs ; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.Influence anddrive the overall sales strategyto ensure highest valuation by directing sales and the management of key accounts; negotiating and purchasing any sub primal need that is not met with internal supply chain; managing outside purchases needed to meet specifications and procurement guidelines; ensuring partners deliver on agreed contractual terms; and overseeing the exception approval process.Provide supervision and development opportunities for associatesby selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness.Promote and support company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.Ensure business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.You’ll sweep us off our feet if:You’re seller obsessed and relationship driven.You have a track record of developing and closing high impact deals.You’re a visionary always looking for ways to distinguish from the competition.You thrive in constantly evolving, fast-paced, dynamic environments.You’re results oriented with a proven track record of leadership and taking ownership that produces exceptional results.You build trust quickly and can lead by influence with the ability to translate between commercial and operational audiences.You believe in and prioritize the collective success of the team and are quick to jump in, help, mentor, and coach your fellow team members.What you’ll bring…Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or related field and 3 years’ experience in business development, market development, product development, or relevant area OR 5 years’ experience in business development, market development, product development, or related area.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing or related field.3 years’ supervisory experience.2 years’ experience working with cross-functional teams.2 years’ experience in sales in the Collectibles space.Benefits & Perks:Beyond competitive pay, you can receive incentive awards for your performance.
