Position Summary...What you'll do...Applied Business Acumen• Industry and Environmental Awareness: Understand market fluctuations, regulatory changes, emerging technologies, and cultural practices.• Business Practices and Metrics: Utilize common business vernacular and practices across industry domains such as eCommerce and commerce platforms.• Data Analysis and Reporting: Evaluate business cases for projects and initiatives using relevant business metrics, data models, and analytics.• Strategic Influence: Influence business stakeholder decision-making and align strategies with business objectives.• Deliverable Execution: Drive the execution of deliverables and build business cases demonstrating ROI.• Insight Derivation: Derive insights from data models and reports to advise stakeholders on complex business issues.• Process Development: Develop organization-wide processes and best practices.• Community Engagement: Engage with external communities to build the company's brand and learn industry practices.Sales Scoping and Qualification• Evaluation Tools and Techniques: Apply methods to scope customers/sellers in complex markets/industries.• Pipeline Management: Oversee team activities to build a pipeline of prospects.• Trend Prediction: Predict sales trends and directions based on historical data and experience.• Opportunity Evaluation: Evaluate new industry opportunities for sales scope determination.Strategic Sales Planning and Forecasting• Sales Planning: Coach team members on strategic sales planning in diverse environments.• Issue Anticipation: Anticipate key issues and considerations in sales planning.• Consultation: Consult on strategic sales planning for business relationships and integrations.• Forecasting: Advise on markets, products, and factors for sales forecasting.• Implementation Coaching: Guide team members on creating annual and long-term sales forecasts.Sales Proposals and Presentations• Presentation Tools and Techniques: Lead discussions on effective sales proposals and presentations.• Process Development: Develop processes for complex sales pitches and evaluate industry best practices.• Training: Train team members on creating formal, written proposals.• Collaboration: Enhance organizational proposal and presentation strategies through collaboration.• Review and Guidance: Review and guide sales presentations for simple to moderately complex pitches.Negotiation Excellence• Techniques and Management: Lead fact-based decisions in high-risk situations and educate on negotiation strategies.• Plan Execution: Formulate and execute complex negotiation plans and address unanticipated issues.• Communication: Disseminate communications to counter other parties' positions and achieve win-win outcomes.• Stalemate Resolution: Detect and address negotiation stalemates.• Compliance: Adhere to and coach on company and regulatory retailer-supplier relationship processes.Product Expertise• Product Knowledge: Understand the suite of products, services, and solutions offered.• Engagement: Engage with customers/sellers to leverage insights on their business/category.• Sales Leadership: Lead sales activities for products across markets and segments.• Gap Articulation: Articulate gaps in product features to leadership teams.• Communication Guidance: Guide team members on product-related communications and best practices.• Assortment Assessment: Assess impacts of assortment mix and translate sales projections into development requirements.Financial Acumen• Terminology and Metrics: Understand financial and business management terminology, metrics, and key performance indicators.• Trend Analysis: Analyze industry-specific financial challenges and trends.• Performance Tracking: Diagnose financial realities, identify opportunities, track performance, and forecast changes.• Decision Making: Perform advanced analyses to inform decisions and maximize ROI.• Audience Communication: Communicate business impacts to diverse audiences and ensure understanding.Leadership and Development• Business Plan Execution: Drive execution of multiple business plans and projects,
