Position Summary...What you'll do...The Senior Manager I will deliver effective product portfolio management to a product portfolio within the Walmart US Product organization. The Associate will be responsible for advising their leader and respective portfolio team on alignment to enterprise strategy, creation and support of product strategy, championing and implementing product ways of working, developing materials for key stakeholder meetings, leading cyclical planning activities, and advocating for best practices in product management. The Associate will liaise with the Product Support Services team on new initiatives, ensuring the portfolio leader, Director, and team are actioning new requirements effectively and timely. The Associate may represent the leader and/or the team in critical meetings with key product partners, including business, technology/engineering, design, finance, and human resources.Key Responsibilities• Collaborate with the Director on providing guidance on product management initiatives, including but not limited to strategy development and execution, product portfolio planning, product reviews and roadmaps, cyclical planning activities (e.g., annual budgeting and operating plan), and cross-functional collaboration with product groups• Champion and implement efficient and disciplined product ways of working, methodologies, frameworks, and best practices to product portfolio(s) under remit. Be a change agent and advocate for sustainable operating rhythms• Develop and execute portfolio-level Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) and quarterly OKR review process for product portfolio leader and team• Collaborate with the Director on supporting all product alignment meetings and forums with stakeholders, including but not limited to recommending the agenda, developing executive-level presentations and tracking outcomes, in concert with product portfolio leader and portfolio teams• Support governance processes across products and capabilities, facilitating necessary conversations with intersecting portfolios• Act as strategic advisor to the product portfolio leader and Director, sharing insights and recommendations based on observations of the team and other product groups• Collaborate with the Director to drive effective decision-making, prioritization, and alignment across the portfolio, and support the same between portfolios• Provide strategic advice and counsel to portfolio leader and team on opportunities to mature, advance, and improve internal ways of working• Manage product portfolio reporting, including product summaries, monthly OKR status, and quarterly business reviews• Work in concert with the Director to strategically align with the Product Support Services team on best practice approaches, providing feedback and identifying opportunities to further collaborate across the portfolios across the entire Product organizationKey Attributes & Skills:• Conscientious self-starter, with a work attitude that exhibits flexibility, initiative, strong judgment, and dependability• An Associate with a strong learning agility who isn't afraid to jump into a new, ambiguous challenge and is able to bring structure and simplicity to an otherwise complicated process• Executive presence and strong communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective communication at all levels of the organization• Collaborative Associate, who excels at building relationships and consensus across all levels and cross-functionally• Proactive problem solver, who resolves issues effectively and creatively while maintaining a high degree of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalismWalmart US Product OrganizationThe Senior Manager I will support the Walmart US Product Organization.• Our Mission: Deliver seamless experiences that drive customer loyalty, associate retention, first place wallet share, and lifetime value, enabling the Walmart enterprise strategy.• What We Do: We translate the business strategy and customer needs into a product strategy and architecture.
