Position Summary...What you'll do...The Senior Manager , On Demand Delivery, Acceleration Data Team will leverage your natural curiosity and strong knowledge of data capabilities to lead data analytics and data science projects within our End 2 End Delivery Business. We are looking for a Senior Manager for our data and analytics team to shape the data, reporting, and data science work provided to the rest of the organization. You will work with key business stakeholders and the analysts and data scientists on our team to identify problems and deliver insights and reporting that influence how we make decisions that have impact at scale. In this role you will be part of a quickly growing part of the business and will help enable expansion and decision making .On Demand Delivery works on fulfilling customer demand for everything in the store in the comfort of their home. We want our customers to have every option available to shop for their needs: wherever, whenever, and however they want it. We are leveraging technology we have within our company and managing partnerships as needed to give our customers the convenience they want when shopping . Our On Demand Delivery programs are a critical part of our business .You'll sweep us off our feet if...• You bring with your e xtensive experience in processing complicated and large-scale dat a sets to extract and report insights from data, building advanced machine learning and deep learning models with various applications, and leveraging data to optimize business metrics• You are a change agent that leverages insights to influence business decisions• You are experienced in directing and enabling team members in their approach to data analytics , data science, and reporting needs to influence business decisions• You have strong business communication skills, both written and verbal; with ability to communicate / present to business teams, also ability to express complex technical topics clearly & easily.• You're proficient in common machine learning techniques and forecasting models and have a strong understanding of probability and statistical models.• You're an inquisitive, out-of-the box thinker who's continually on the lookout for opportunities to improve and innovate data and data science solutions• You have consistently high standards , your passion for quality is inherent in everything that you do• You have the courage to fail fast• You have the proven ability as a data analyst and scientist who develops, optimizes , and enhance s models• You are comfortable influencing others, managing stakeholders, getting buy-in from leadership, and communicating clearlyMinimum Qualifications:• Bachelor 's degree and 5+ years' experience in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics or related field• 2+ years supervisory experience leading and training data analysts and data scientists through data analytics, reporting, and data science projects to deliver projects with impact• Strong hands-on skills in sourcing, cleaning, manipulating, and analyzing large volumes of data using distributed computing platform and visualization tools (Python, R, SQL, Spark, Hive, Tableau etc.).• Experienced with traditional and modern machine learning and statistical techniques, including A/B testing, Causal Inference, Regression, Classification, Ensemble Methods, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Reinforcement Learning.• Up to date with current analytics, reporting, and data science tools and methods• Strong written and oral communication skills.• Proven ability to build partnerships, communicate, and influenc e effectively within an organization as well as work in a team setting• Strong planning and project management skillsPreferred Qualifications• Master's degree and 5+ in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics or related field• 3 + years supervisory experience leading and training data analysts and data scientists through data analytics, reporting, and data science projects to deliver projects with impact• Able to develop an objective point-of-view , feel very comfortable sharing it , and be seen as a strategic thought leader on the team• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and storytelling ability• Able to demonstrate agility and can pivot focus based on changes in business needs/conditions• Excellent planning and project management skillsAt Walmart, we offer competitive pay as well as performance-based bonus awards and other great benefits for a happier mind, body, and wallet.
