Position Summary:About Team:Our team works closely with our US stores and eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation. From groceries and entertainment to sporting goods and crafts, Walmart U.S. offers an extensive selection that our customers value, whether they shop online at Walmart.com, through one of our mobile apps, or in-store. Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization.What you'll do:You architect and lead the implementation to support new functionalities and user experiences.You work with your manager, product, operations and design, to plan, execute, and deliver on sprint, quarterly and project goals.You serve as a Subject Matter Expert to provide technical leadership and mentorship to your teammates, other teams and engineers.You will also utilize Kotlin, Java, mobile languages, Android and mobile frameworks, compilers, linkers, and software best practices to all mobile engineering teams. Supports and enhances Core Styles User Interface (UI) component frameworks used by all mobile engineering teams and ensure ADA compliance and technical rigor. Troubleshoots difficult cross-vertical issues and engage stakeholders as needed. Perform in-depth technical analysis of CPU-limited, network-limited, and other performance bottlenecks in Walmart eCommerce software applications. Evaluates third party SDKs (Software Development Kits) and provides technical guidance to business stakeholders. Supports continuous integration pipelines for native mobile applications, automate identification issues, and resolve build errors to unblock teams. Provides fundamental cross-feature infrastructure for new business initiatives, including low level networking, logging, crash reporting, and cross-module communication and synchronization.What you'll bring:BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 10+ years of industry experience.At least 8 years of experience developing software in an agile team environment.Demonstrated experience creating mobile applications using React Native mobile framework.Experience in Design, Development, Coding, Testing, and Releasing to QA.Experience with monitoring mobile app performance, stability, and success rate and leveraging data to improve the same.Improve code quality through writing unit tests, automation, and performing code reviews.A strong foundation of software design – know-how to create software that’s extensible, reusable, and meets desired architectural objectives.About Walmart Global Tech:Imagine working in an environment where one line of code can make life easier for hundreds of millions of people.
