By joining the New Propositions team within E-Commerce, you'll play a key role in validating and scaling new initiatives in Augmented Reality, Generative AI, and home delivery . We are looking for entrepreneurial, collaborative, and forward-thinking teammates to join us in our mission.About the RoleThe Director of Strategy and Business Operations will report directly to the Vice President of New Propositions . You will play a critical role in leading our Extended Reality business . You'll lead a mix of strategic and operational projects working cross-functionally across multiple departments throughout Walmart ( e.g. leadership, product, design, engineering) to drive forward category-defining initiatives from idea to execution. We are looking for a leader who is a self-starter and thrives in ambiguity with bias for action and excellent communication skills.What You'll Do:Critical areas of responsibility.Strategic and operational focus:• Owns and drives strategic and operational planning ; including vision , strategy and roadmaps that align with our business goals and enhances the customer experience.• Own regular operational reporting of the business which includes across cross-functional reporting across senior leaders .• Leads partnerships with key stakeholders across teams (Product, Design, Site Merchandizing , Marketplace, and Engineering ) developing new experiences.• Perform market research, competitive assessments, data driven business case modelling, SWOT analysis, and exploration of monetization that impact your areas.Cross WMT Program support• Support your projects through regular program management (you are the glue the keeps the projects moving forward) in every aspect including but not limited toDevelop recommendations by analyzing and interpreting data in order to provide insight on current and future business trendsD evelop s and implement scorecards to report on the businessTranslates data analysis into recommendations aligned with business objectives .• Drive and support cross WMT relationships.• Actively monitor project risks and dependencies and help remove identified barriers to ensure success.What You'll Need• Bachelor's degree and MBA or advanced graduate degree a plus• 10 + years of experience in innovation, business consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy .• Thinks critically and systematically about complex business problems and uses strategic frameworks, to prepare strategies, understand trade-offs, and make informed business decisions.• Experience managing cross functional projects and relationships and working directly with executive leadership.• You are intellectually curious, high energy, and strong work ethic with an ability to distill complex information into understandable, actionable, persuasive assets.• Success in an entrepreneurial environment and ability to manage and execute multiple priorities at a fast-paced company while operating independently through ambiguity with minimal supervision .• Superb communication of concepts and ideas to stakeholders at all levels including C-level executives; ability to create and deliver compelling presentations to senior business audiences.• Leadership, team management, relationship building, organization, planning and willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what's necessary• A strong bias to action and sense of curiosity.
