We also craft world-class tools and services that enable our more than 1 million in-store and supply chain associates to deliver great value to our customers every day.This leadership role will lead a team bringing our strategic vision to life, and is based in Bentonville, Arkansas where we are expanding our awesome design community in our new, state-of-the-art campus.The UX Director, AX will help bring to life our comprehensive strategy to transform the in-store and supply chain associate experience through consumer-grade, AI-driven digital experiences. This UX Director will provide strategic and craft-based leadership for products and services that support our associates to do their jobs better - whether serving customers, managing inventory, or distributing freight all across the US. In addition to being a thought partner to our business, engineering, and product partners, this leader will work closely with fellow design partners to forge a market-leading, digitally enabled set of experiences that integrate the best of streamlined operations processes, cutting-edge technologies, and associate feedback. This leader will also strategically partner with our store operators to make sure we develop, train, and evolve the tools our store and supply chain associates use so we can continuously improve the experience and processes.As UX Director, you will employ your depth of knowledge and experience in design, organization, and communication. You'll design tools and services to make the complex simple, clear, and trusted. You'll demonstrate your natural curiosity to listen, understand, and draw out insights from research and operational processes to improve how your portfolio grows and evolves. While diving into the interaction patterns and business processes of today, you'll be able to imagine and articulate improved future states of those products through design. While working with colleagues in the design team and partners in the company, you will determine a shared plan forward that balances business and technology considerations, you will create and champion an experience that is highly engaging and usable and deliver pixel-perfect detailed design with your team.Most of this UX Director's time will be spent on design products and services in the AX portfolio, but the balance of time (approximately 25-35%) will be spent helping to build the new Design team in our new Bentonville campus. This will take shape in recruiting and outreach, planning and hosting events, and creating connections with local and regional design communities.
