Position SummaryWalmart Global Tech is seeking a talented Principal UX Designer to join our Corporate Affairs and Leverage Tech (CALTech) UX Design team. As a member of the CALTech UX team, you will design digital products that provide exceptional experiences for Walmart associates. The digital tools we create enhance user capabilities, improve efficiency, and assist our colleagues in making data-informed decisions for their teams and the business.If you enjoy solving complex problems, operate with intention, deliver for the user, know how to build trust and strong relationships, and advocate for the success of the entire team, then our Principal UX Designer position could be the ideal fit for you. The ideal candidate is an expert UX/UI Designer who can plan UX deliverables, communicate design recommendations, execute design ideas, lead discussions, and manage stakeholder relationships. They should also be able to demonstrate how their designs positively impact business KPIs (key performance indicators).About Team: Corporate Affairs and Leverage Tech - UX DesignWe are dedicated to making Walmart the preferred retail destination for consumers. Our UX team supports Walmart's Corporate Affairs and Leverage Tech team within Enterprise Business Services. We build enterprise tools that digitally transform the user experience for Walmart associates in Global Communications and Global Responsibility.What You'll DoBe responsible for the quality, consistency, and accuracy of multiple projects of varying complexity. Communicate the impact of design decisions in business-friendly language, including quantitative metrics or business KPIs.Influence cross-functional partners in Product, Business, and Engineering; advocating for the value of UX to non-designers.Lead UX discovery, present discovery insights to stakeholders, validate use cases, and map business processes.Document the current and design the ideal architecture for multiple complex systems.Leverage discovery insights to scope and plan project deliverables for yourself and other designers in your project team, setting clear objectives and priorities.Translate use cases into wireframes and prototypes in Figma, applying Walmart's design system to create accessible, usable, global products.Communicate the rationale for design decisions to project stakeholders, and lead the hand-off documentation process for engineers.What You'll BringExpert knowledge of UX/UI fundamentals (written, verbal, and visual).Expert knowledge of information architecture and systems mapping.Advanced knowledge of Figma and working knowledge of design systems.Strong communication (written, verbal, and visual).Highly collaborative, curious, and intentional.Relentless problem solver.Your PortfolioShows an end-to-end process for solving a problem, explaining how UX insights inform design solutions.Shows consideration for user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.Shows examples of UX/UI deliverables, and consideration for their use.Minimum QualificationsOutlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position:Bachelor's degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area and 5 years' experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.7 years' experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.Preferred QualificationsDesign certification (for example, IDEOU - Foundations in Design Thinking Certificate), Driving product development in a user experience area, Master's degree in UI/UX Design, Interactive and Visual Design, Product Design, or related area, Related industry experience (for example, retail, supply chain, eCommerce, healthcare).Primary LocationPhyllis St. N Of Hwy 102, West Side Of Street, Bentonville, AR 72712, United States of America#J-18808-Ljbffr
