About the role: The Quality Assurance Tester is an entry level position in our audio-visual equipment warehouse. This position includes equipment testing and cleaning, learning technical functionality and uses of equipment for events and productions, and warehouse organization and loading and unloading equipment as needed. This also requires use of a computer based inventory program, Rental Works.This position reports to and supports the Operations Manager.Responsibilities:• Reviews incoming audio-visual equipment by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and reporting unacceptable equipment to the technician for review.• Confirms products are in working order by confirming specifications and completing a physical check to ensure all parts and pieces are accounted for.• Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing any troubleshooting and entering data into RW database utilizing asset module notes in the specific barcode.• Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions, reporting any malfunctions to department lead via email and direct conversation.• Begins familiarizing themselves with all equipment to be able to identify and organize all inventory within their location.• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.• Other tasks as assigned within specific department or from operations managementSkills: Equipment Maintenance, Adhering to Standards, Learning and Following Processes, Inventory Organization, Technical Skills, and Interest in Entertainment ProductionEducation and Experience:• Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse• backgrounds• Good written and oral communication skills• Planning, time management, collaboration, and organization skills required• Strong interpersonal skills to work within a team• Willingness to work a demanding schedule that is dependent upon evolving client needsCompetencies:• Technical Savvy• Strategic problem-solving capabilities• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skillsPhysical Requirements:• The ability to lift and move heavy objects• The ability to sit or stand for long periods of time• Physical movements such as bending, crouching, kneeling, pulling, pushing, sitting, standing, and walkingWork Location: In personEEO: Fuse Technical Group is an equal opportunity employer.
