If you are motivated by complex challenges and want to build the future of commerce and consumer services, a Marketing role at Walmart could be what you've been looking for.OverviewThe Sr. Art Director, Grocery will support the Walmart Creative Studio in concept through execution for marketing/brand campaigns that will translate across multiple channels including paid, site, email, and in-store. Our ideal candidate must be a problem solver, conceptual thinker and able to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. They should be organized, detail-oriented and exhibit outstanding design judgement.In this role, the Sr. Art Director will oversee a team of designers -validating and directing their day-to-day work while working alongside the Associate Creative Director to be the connection between the overarching marketing strategy and an executional style guide. This will require them to make conceptual and stylistic decisions by creating layouts, mockups, and pitch decks to illustrate ideas for other members of the team.This role works collaboratively with other team leads (within creative & cross-functionally) to develop effective and cohesive experiences. It focuses on primarily on Consumables (Personal Care, Pet, Baby, Household Essentials, Wellness) along with food and grocery service campaigns.Responsibilities• Oversee the design and provide feedback of assets for projects across all user touchpoints-digital, print, and paid social media to ensure they are on brand.• Aid in concepting for site/paid campaigns and visual language for grocery photography.• Attend photoshoots when needed.• Work cross-functionally with marketing, site ops and integrated strategy to ensure creative cohesion at every touchpoint.• Develop creative leadership and marketing pitch decks to gain alignment setting the team up for success.• Convert a marketing strategy and overarching platform/vis id into an executional style guide.• Manage projects, growth, and development of 2+ art directors and team of designers.• Ability to design assets and brand campaigns as neededRequirements• BA in Graphic Design or other relevant education, online portfolio is required.• 8+ years of professional design experience in advertising, e-commerce, and production• 3+ years of management experience• Ability to react quickly and be comfortable in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.• Proficiency in Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) and Microsoft Office• Photo art direction experience ideally in the food/lifestyle space.• Retouching (clipping, extending backgrounds, compositing etc.) and layout (type, color theory, hierarchy, balance) capabilities.• Understanding of responsive/adaptive design• Ability to take direction and work well in a collaborative team environment.• Organized with diligent follow-through on every task.• Excellent written, communication and presentation skills.Additional Preferred Qualifications• Proficiency in Figma• Understanding of print process and mechanicals• Retail backgroundHow you'll thrive at Walmart:• Performance-based incentive awards• 401k with company match• Discounted employee stock purchase plan• Paid parental leave• New surrogacy & adoption benefits• Unlimited Flex Time Off• Working alongside a diverse group of collaborative and innovative team members• Opportunity for growth and development across several areas of the Fortune 1 organization• And much moreEqual Opportunity EmployerWalmart, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer - By Choice.
