Position Summary...What you'll do...What you'll do...InfoSec External Party Risk Management (EPRM) is looking for a Software Engineer III, who has a passion for developing products and services for our Risk and Compliance area. Ideal candidates should have strong background in technology and security awareness. Some of the core technology experiences for this role would be to have a good backend development experience as well as in its operations.About Team: InfoSec External Party Risk Management (EPRM)At Walmart, we prioritize innovation and data security. The External Party Risk Management (EPRM) team delivers advanced, data-driven services to enable scalable, risk-based vulnerability management for Walmart.What you'll do:• Develop REST APIs and Microservices: Collaborate on the design and implementation of REST APIs and microservices for the Risk and Compliance functional area.• Work with Data Models: Build and maintain data models using SQL (MS SQL) and NoSQL databases (Cassandra, Graph DB).• Build Solutions for Risk and Compliance: Contribute to creating solutions, frameworks, and tools for areas such as Vulnerability Management, PCI & SOX Compliance Reporting, Risk Management, and risk measurement within the enterprise.• Collaborate Across Teams: Engage with security engineers, infrastructure teams, external collaborators, and partners to deliver product features that align with business goals in an agile environment.• Optimize Systems: Assist in designing solutions to eliminate performance bottlenecks, enhance automation, and improve operational efficiency.• Hands-On Backend Development: Apply backend development skills to create tools, implement business logic, and develop APIs to support robust and scalable solutions.• Experiment and Prototype: Support the development of proof-of-concept projects and experimentation to drive innovation.• Monitor and Maintain Services: Help monitor, operate, and maintain hosted services, products, reports, and analytics to ensure reliability and performance.This role is ideal for individuals eager to gain experience in backend development and security-focused enterprise systems while working in a dynamic, collaborative environment.What you'll bring:• Knowledge in building scalable, resilient, secure enterprise application platforms using microservices, APIs, and backend technologies is preferred• Experience in programming language such as Java, Python, Javascript and frameworks/libraries such as Spring, Node.js, React, Angular etc is preferred• Experience in creating database tables, ER diagrams, and scripts is preferred• Experience in Cloud solutions and platforms, CI/CD pipeline is preferred• Knowledge of triaging and fixing bugs in a microservice, n-tier architecture and in big data platforms is preferred• Demonstrated ability to learn new programming languages or technologies.• Flexibility in adopting to new areas of work, domain, and technical competencies.• Good written and verbal communication skills• Good analytical and problem-solving skillsAbout Walmart Global TechImagine working in an environment where one line of code can make life easier for hundreds of millions of people and put a smile on their face.
