As a key member of our engineering leadership team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the development of large-scale, cross-functional projects in a multi-disciplinary environment. Sam's Club also provides travel, auto purchasing, pharmacy, optical, hearing aid centers, tire and battery centers, and a portfolio of business operations support services.What you'll do:Own and drive complex, multi-disciplinary, and multi-product technology projects using techno-functional expertise. Ensure planning through deep discovery, scope, and feature set of programs, understand and articulate detailed requirements with internal customers, and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing schedules, identifying risks, and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. Understand systems interdependencies and lead cross-functional teams towards technical solutions.Explain analyses and recommendations to executives and discuss the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers. Proactively and effectively communicate program statuses, identify potential risks and setbacks, and develop mitigation strategies. Develop best practices in a changing and dynamic environment to ensure on time delivery. Ensure program documents are complete, current, and available for staff and leadership review. Drive and contribute to resource planning to ensure program success and drive internal process improvements across multiple teams and functions. This position does not supervise employees.What you'll bring:A minimum of 10 years of experience in technology, retail a plus.Proven experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area; working with a teams of engineers and delivering high-quality software solutions.Demonstrated knowledge of the implementation phases of technical projects, including the analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post- phases.Experience gathering business requirements from stakeholders and converting them into technical requirements. Experience managing prioritizations with engineering teams. Experience working with product and engineering teams to define team needs, metrics, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and to articulate the technology, requirements, goals, and milestones of the team. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
