As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Warehouse Associate (Picker) who will perform various warehouse activities to ensure the full and efficient operation of the Distribution Center. Its main responsibility is to use a pushcart and pick orders for packing. The role may work as an individual contributor or work with a partner. Other duties may entail, receiving, sorting, stacking, picking, packing at times, and shipping of orders.
1st Shift Monday - Friday (7:00am - 3:00pm)
Use a RF scanner and pushcart to pick product from shelves and place into containers. Product could be stored in ambient, cool room or freezer locations. Associate could be rotated between different departments based upon business need.
Verify package contents are correct and then place ice, dunnage, gel packs, etc. as needed into container, before taping container shut and placing container on shipping line.
Fill out inventory issue forms when expected product location is not valid (wrong part, no supply, etc.). Work with inventory team to identify product locations.
Perform housekeeping (recycle/track pick-up) duties as needed.
Training others
Observe health and safety regulations; maintain warehouse in a clean, safe and orderly condition.
Maintain regular attendance.
Use of PPE required for the job task (vest, steel toed shoes, body harness, gloves, etc.).
Willing to work Overtime with little or same day notice.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Required
High School Diploma or GED equivalent; or in lieu of education, at least 2+ years of previous warehouse or similar industry experience
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time and be able to lift 50lbs
Previous experience in a cold chain environment a plus
Preferred
Basic computer and math skills
Previous distribution experience
Internal – Customer Service, Planning, Leadership and North America Supply Chain
External – Customers, Carrier, Freight Forwarders, Suppliers
The work environment characteristics are representative of a warehouse environment and include the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time and be able to lift 50lbs. The ability to work in 3 different temperatures: ambient, cooler (approximately 40 degrees), and freezer (approximately -20 degrees). Use of PPE required for the job task (vest, steel toed shoes, body harness, gloves, etc.). Willing to work overtime with little or same day notice.
