Warehouse Manager

Job Description:
Position Summary:
In this position, the successful candidate will supervise warehouse team members, including setting performance objectives and reviews, and conduct daily inventory cycle counts in accordance with corporate metrics
Additionally, responsible for Inventory adjustments, variances, receiving activities, picking, packing, and shipping.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervise warehouse team members, including setting performance objectives and review
  • Daily inventory cycle counts in accordance with corporate metrics
  • Inventory adjustments
  • Responsible for variance explanations
  • All receiving activities
  • Picking, packing, and shipping
  • Customer complaint resolution relating to picking, packing, & shipping
  • Maintain ship-on-time metric
  • Active participation in the Health, Safety, and Environment Road Map Program
  • Accountable for DMR process, the RMA process and physical inventories
  • Scheduling training for warehouse team members to maintain proper certifications (forklift, hot works, etc.)
  • Liaise with HSE Lead to maintain proper building permits and scheduling maintenance of warehouse/shop equipment (fire extinguishers, crane inspections, etc.)
  • Conduct an annual safety class for all team members per company guidelines
  • Maintain general housekeeping of warehouse & yard
  • Ordering supplies for all warehouse functions
  • Meeting w/vendors to negotiate best pricing/options for shipping
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred.
  • Preferred Distribution experience
  • Preferred experience leading a lean environment and implementing process improvements
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively implement change
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, including experience coaching and training others
  • Demonstrated integrity, working with transparency, and leadership ability
  • Process improvement, process management, and lean manufacturing knowledge
  • Advanced understanding of international shipping regulations and the ability to create international shipping documentation
  • Ability to write and implement area processes
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Optimize capacity utilization
  • Flexible with strong teamwork orientation
  • Commitment and understanding of Lean Principles
  • Must be results oriented and able to perform with minimal error
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to use considerable independent judgment without compromising policies and procedures
  • Strong orientation to safety and quality
