Warehouse Receiver

Team member will be responsible for performing all required job functions to carry out accurate packaging, labeling, shipping and receipt of raw materials and/or finished goods. They are expected to follow all necessary safety and quality standards to ensure the receipt and delivery of the highest quality products in a timely manner.

• Processing shipments and receipts through SAP Enterprise Resource Planning software
• Knowledge, handling, and labeling of hazardous materials; thorough completion of hazardous and non-hazardous paper work
• Proper packaging of finished goods
• Ensuring quality and accuracy of all shipments and labels
• Comprehension of the latest shipping regulations and customer requirements
• Unloading and verification/sign in of freight
• Repackaging material in damaged containers
• Properly recording and labeling received materials and samples as necessary for testing
• Inspecting and documenting returned goods
• Assisting Inventory Control by physically counting inventory items
• Labeling QC approved materials and placing them in stock using proper stock rotation guidelines
• Computer entry of received goods and raw materials
• Securing raw materials until inspected and passed
• Proper labeling, storage, and documentation of inventory.
• Responsible for the inspection and sampling of shipped/received materials to ensure quality and accuracy
• Cleaning and organizing the warehouse
• Delivering non-warehoused items to intended recipients
• Labeling and storing out of spec, rejected, and scrap materials in proper holding areas Additionally, they must maintain storage of materials with effective warehouse space management in a safe and clean environment; maintain departmental work instructions and procedures; control costs through effective utilization of equipment & time; and involvement & contribution to continuous improvement efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in problem solving and effective communication skills
• Prior experience with shipment/receipt of materials
• Capable of learning and understanding the computer software used by distribution and programs used to access work instructions
• Able to understand hazardous material identification systems and spill prevention programs
• Ability to drive a forklift
• Possess planning and organization skills necessary to facilitate activities within the scope of distribution
• Ability to read, learn and understand any regulations that pertain to our industry
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Schedule TBD: Must be willing and able to work either shift (1st, 2nd) Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous training in hazardous materials handling
• A basic knowledge of chemistry and/or extensive hazardous materials knowledge or experience
• Knowledge and demonstration of continuous improvement techniques
• Extensive work experience in shipping and/or receiving departments
• Ability to perform light maintenance on shipping/receiving equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.76 per hour
