Location: Elizabethtown, PA
Pay: $21 per hour

About the role:
Grove takes the safety of all our associates very seriously. The safety of our Fulfillment Center (FC) associates is critical to who we are as a company and what we stand for as an organization. As a Safety Coordinator, you will be responsible for a wide range of FC safety aspects including helping develop safety protocols, training FC associates on safety protocols, coach associates, reporting on safety protocol compliance and inventory management of safety supplies.

The work you will be doing is critical for the success of Grove and the safety of our team. Shift:
Full time, Tuesday - Saturday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm

Responsibilities:
  • Contribute and help develop new safety protocols as well as enhance and update existing ones.
  • Perform safety protocol training and re-training.
  • Lead safety discussions during daily start-up meetings.
  • Track safety protocol violations and report to site leadership
  • Assist in safety investigations as directed by People Operations (HR).
  • Maintain confidentiality of all safety-related issues to protect the associate’s privacy.
  • Have a working knowledge of HIPAA laws and regulations
  • Maintain reliable inventory counts for all safety supplies including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), cleaning / sanitizing supplies.
  • Communicate safety training and educate all FC associates on safety protocols in a timely manner to ensure the fulfillment center employees understand what’s important and how to do it – “the What’, the Why’ and the How.”

About You:
  • High School diploma or equivalent. Some college experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work legally in the United States
  • Must be willing to submit a background check
  • Have a reliable means of transportation to meet the needs of the position
  • A minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience in a variety of roles is highly preferred
  • You are not intimidated to speak up when you see a safety issue, no matter who is violating our policies, including HQ visitors or the site leadership.
  • You will be fair and consistent when it comes to tracking and reporting safety violations
  • You are motivated by helping others succeed in working safely. Being a coach for associates who don’t report to you is second nature and you find gratification by helping people work safely.
  • You enjoy finding positive behaviors to showcase and re-enforce them and publicly acknowledge people who are following the rules.
  • Strong communication. Ability to break down policies into easy to understand concepts. In short, you enjoy talking with people and are thoughtful about how you do it.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a big plus
