Warehouse Shipping Clerk

Magnesita is searching for a Shipping Specialist to join our team! Starting rate is $18.92/hr.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understand and work with all aspects of shipping: packing lists, bills of lading, export papers, dock receipts, envelopes and stickers for all shipments.
• Understand weights for truckloads and railcars, consistent with weight limit restrictions.
• Handle necessary paperwork to properly document each shipment.
• Ability to operate sit down forklift to load trucks and take inventory counts.
• Make all necessary inventory adjustments or transactions to assure inventories.
• Complete shippers daily productivity reports.
• Take physical counts as required to maintain accurate inventory of all finished goods inventory items.
• Use computer to accurately maintain SAP.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Team member.
• Good basic mathematical skills required.
• Good verbal and written, communication is an important selection criterion.
• Employee is expected to be self motivated and follow all safety rules.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• This person must be detail orientated and able to complete paperwork accurately.
  • Information on all shipping documents to be identical to that on release.
  • Legible appearance of all reports, logs and files.
  • Accuracy of all adjustments made to finished goods system.
  • Accuracy of all physical counts of finished goods items.
  • Professional appearance of all shipping documents.
• Knowledge of general shipping procedures.
• Proficient in computer use Job requires: standing, lifting, walking, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling and climbing; climbing ladders or stairs up several times per shift; and lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds ; and wearing all personal protective equipment required. Ability to work in a variety of working conditions including, but not limited to heat, cold, dust, and noise.
