The Opportunity:
The Graduate School at Washington State University (WSU) invites candidates to apply for their Office Assistant 2 who is responsible for assisting with a variety of duties in support of their office. Some duties may include handling, filing, and data processing of documents. You will also be responsible for responding to routine inquiries concerning office/departmental services and procedures. You may occasionally help and/or provide work direction to student/hourly staff. Within established guidelines, you will independently organize, prioritize, and initiate work activities, your work will be periodically reviewed to verify compliance with policies, procedures and standards.
Required Qualifications
• High School graduation or equivalent and one year of clerical experience; OR equivalent education/experience.
• Experience with scanning and imaging can be substituted for one year of clerical experience.
• Prior demonstrated customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• Ability to multitask.
• Experience composing grammatically correct, concise correspondence.
• Experience with interacting with a diverse clientele.
• Good keyboarding skills.
• Good proofreading skills.
• Experience with student information systems.

Monthly Salary: $2,889 - $3,811 | Range 32 Step A - M | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
