This multidisciplinary team includes outstanding physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other allied health professionals and students to provide the best patient care, education and resources as possible.The Patient Services Coordinator is the single individual managing the patient flow and care in the complex interdisciplinary Autism Spectrum Disorder and other Neurodevelopmental Disorders (ASDND) Center of Excellence. The position will manage the electronic medical record system, provide patient services, and coordinate the medical office. This involves supporting both clinicians who are WSU employees and those who are contracted as service providers.The position will serve as the patient services representative in the community for Range Community Clinic’s mobile medical unit, manage the electronic medical record system and maintain and troubleshoot technology on the mobile unit, travelling throughout the region when needed.As a fundamental aspect of the mission of the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine is to provide medical service to the rural and/or underserved populations, the coordinator will be a representative of the Unit, College and Washington State University while providing services both on campus and in the community.Essential Job Functions35% Medical Office Coordination30% Medical Records Management30% Patient and Provider Services5% OtherRequired QualificationsHigh school graduation or equivalent AND three years of general office experience or two years of office or customer service experience in a healthcare setting; OR equivalent education/experience.Additional Requirements• Ability to obtain and maintain valid CPR certification within 30 days of appointment.• Working knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations.• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.• Ability to obtain and maintain required vaccinations for healthcare workers exposed to patients as defined by the CDC; OR provide record of blood serum titre.• Ability to work independently, ensuring effective use of time including prioritization and organizational skills.• Excellent written and verbal communication and use of technology skills.• Ability to work with the public, including in mobile and/or community settings.• Ability to effectively communicate with pediatric patients and their families.Preferred Qualifications• One (1) or more years of working in the healthcare field.• Six (6) months previous experience in a healthcare setting working with an Electronic Health record (EHR).Additional InformationArea/College: Elson S.
