Our deep-rooted commitment to excellence, collaboration, integrity, diversity and inclusion creates exceptional educational opportunities which prepare students for success in a global society.Essential Functions:Academic Service Officer I/II (Renewal Contract)- Recruitment and Program Specialist will be assigned to a school/college and, in collaboration with Enrollment Management and Student Success, serves as a direct point-of-contact for prospective and current students. Staff will actively participate in planning, development, and implementation strategies related primarily to recruitment, as well as student success and academic progress.Prospective transfer students will be referred to similar specialists within the Transfer Student Success Center. Specialists support recruitment, onboarding, and academic programming that aligns with enrollment management, market conditions, and momentum milestones initiatives.In addition, essential duties include:Support and participate in recruitment and engagement initiatives, including events and workshops.Connect prospective and current students to appropriate academic and service departments on campus when needed.Assist schools/colleges in developing special instructional and recruitment programs for first-year and current students.Act as the primary point of contact for yield activities and follow up (converting admitted students to enrolled students) within the school or college.Coordinate registration campaigns and follow up with current students.Provide high-level program advising to prospective and current studentsMaintain knowledge of curriculum developments, enrollment trends and market conditions to identify opportunities and threats.Support academic programming in collaboration with schools/colleges to build enrollments and support student success.Monitor student progress on the path to degrees and help prevent stopping out.Build and maintain relationships with university departments, colleges/schools, and business and industry.Communicate university policies, deadline(s), and opportunities.Compile data and maintain statistical and progress reports relating to areas of responsibility as requested/required.Perform other related duties as assigned or required at locations on or off campus at times the demand for services is greatest.Minimum Qualifications:Master's degree in communications, education, business, technology, or related field required for Academic Services Officer II.Minimum 2-4 years' experience in higher education in relevant areas; enrollment services, academic advising, curricular planning, student affairs or directly related experience.Ability to assimilate extensive knowledge of academic programs, policies and requirements.School/College/Division:H92 - Student AffairsPrimary department:H7502 - Enrollment Services CenterEmployment type:+ Regular Employee+ Job type: Full Time+ Job category: Academic/FacultyFunding/salary information:+ Compensation type: Annual Salary+ Salary minimum: $60,000+ Salary hire maximum:Working conditions:Normal office environmentJob openings:+ Number of openings: 1+ Reposted position: NoBackground check requirements:University policy requires certain persons who are offered employment to undergo a background check, including a criminal history check, before starting work.
