About the team:

The Customer Experience (CX) Data Science & Engineering team consists of data scientists and analytics developers with diverse educational backgrounds. The team is responsible for delivering advanced analytics to support data-driven customer experience at Wealthsimple. The team is staffed with seasoned data experts and well supported by product managers, software developers, and strategists.


We are hiring for a data scientist for the CX DSE team. You will be responsible for the development and execution of advanced machine learning/artificial intelligence models that drive key product decisions at Wealthsimple. A successful data scientists is able to blend expertise in state-of-the-art AI/ML modelling and software engineering while effectively communicating with stakeholders.


Overview:

The Data Scientist will be a key member of the CXO Data Science team within the Data Science and Engineering (DSE) department. This team is responsible for providing data science solutions to enhance the customer experience (CXO). The Data Scientist will focus on developing and maintaining predictive models, ensuring data quality and accessibility, and providing insights to support CXO initiatives.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain predictive models for agent demand forecasting, ticket analysis, and optimal queuing fora agent-ticket assignments
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the CXO data mart, ensuring data quality, accessibility, and efficient storage
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor CXO KPIs, costs, revenue, transfer, and other relevant metrics
  • Provide business intelligence and data science support for experimentation, campaigns, and the implementation of new predictive models
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including CXO leadership, to align data initiatives with business priorities


Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of data science principles and methodologies, including predictive modelling and data visualization
  • Experience with data mart architecture/design, management, and data quality assurance
  • Experience working with dbt, airflow, AWS, python
  • Knowledge of Github (comfortable with version control, creating PRs)
  • Knowledge of key CS metrics and understanding of ticket data
  • Ability to translate business needs into data-driven solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
