We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll and Commission Manager to join our team at Weave. In this role, you will oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll and commission payments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. As part of a public company, you will play a critical role in managing sensitive payroll data, maintaining internal controls, and supporting accurate financial reporting. Your primary responsibility will be to manage payroll functions for all employees, including the calculation, tracking, and disbursement of commissions for eligible roles within the organization.
This position will be hybrid out of our Lehi, UT HQ.
Reports to: Assistant Controller
What You Will Own
Hands on payroll processing and accounting, including bonus and benefits payments for salaried and hourly employees including multi-state
You will manage garnishments, voluntary deductions, benefits, and taxes, consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws
Define areas of opportunities and make recommendations to improve and implement best in class processes and systems
Work closely with HR to develop and enforce payroll policies and procedures to ensure proper internal controls and efficient processes
Administer all payroll financial systems ensuring integrity and integration of payroll databases into the appropriate financial and management reporting systems
Support audit requirements (payroll audits, 401k audits, worker compensation, agency, etc.)
Assist with special projects as needed
Manage all commission compensation ensure compensation is properly accounted for and settled in the appropriate timeframes
Maintain a deep understanding of commission plans and source data
Evaluate current commission tools and make recommendations for improvements
Work with sales representatives, operations, and human resources, on investigating and resolving any commissions issues, disputes, or inquiries
What You Will Need to Accomplish the Job
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred
3+ years of related payroll experience required
Experience using Workday payroll software (required)
Experience using ADP smart compliance software
Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes
Ability to review and analyze all payroll functions to ensure accuracy and compliance
Ability to recommend and implement process improvements
Proficient with Excel
