QuinStreet is seeking a Web/UI Designer with comprehensive experience in web, digital, and user interface design to join our talented group of designers and copywriters.
Our ideal candidate is creative, innovative, and passionately driven in problem-solving. This person can deliver up-to-date and engaging web interface design to various platforms throughout the development, execution, and improvement phases. A Web Designer at QuinStreet must have a broad background in the following areas: designing with a user-centric approach, digital communication, branding, and style guides, plus an understanding of information hierarchy and architecture. They also can articulate ideas and take direction amongst team members while professionally conducting themselves.
Among other projects, you will be working to help build a new platform and features for an exciting project underway for a proprietary interface.
Responsibilities
- Take ideas/concepts and visualize them in a manner that is engaging and compelling for internal leaders, partners, and customers.
- Support and develop wireframe/interface design, while working with developers on an internal management tool/system with UX/UI experience/expertise.
- Create the visual language strategy (brand applications, visual design specs, information design, color system, typographic rules, grid systems, and other visual assets) for medium-sized, diverse projects that support the brand strategy and user goals.
- Help build out new merchandise products and platforms, define and refine our design system, and keep us on track with the latest design/technology trends.
- Apply strategic thinking to design and deliver innovative end-to-end user experiences that synthesize user needs, business goals, and technological realities across web & mobile platforms.
- Collaborate effectively with researchers, product managers, developers, marketers, and other team members and groups.
- Manage timelines, deadlines, and communication through project management tools and team collaboration systems.
- Use critical thinking, deductive reasoning, and data-driven decisions to deliver end-to-end user experiences that synthesize user needs, business initiatives, and client goals across digital mediums.
- Keep up with cutting-edge trends, tools, and user experience best practices that pertain to the web, graphic, and user interface.
Requirement
- Bachelors in Web/Graphic Design, or related field of study.
- 5+ years of on-the-job Web Design/UI development
- A comprehensive portfolio that elaborates on your process and approach
- Expertise with design tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, Photoshop and Illustrator, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Confluence
- Working knowledge of HTML, understanding how design elements translate to code, and the ability to use prototyping tools to convey design intent.
- Understanding of branding as it relates to user experience.
- Able to discover and apply interaction design patterns easily across multiple operating systems and devices.
- Proficient experience with Agile workflow, remote communications, workload balancing, fast-paced environment, and hard deadlines
The expected salary range for this position is $60,000 USD to $100,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company's compensation practices. The salary may be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. The position is also eligible to receive performance bonus or commission and equity in the form of restricted stock units. This position is eligible to participate in the Company's standard employee benefits programs, which currently include health care benefits; (2) retirement benefits; (3) the amount of paid days off (paid sick leave, parental leave, paid time off, or vacation benefits); (4) any other tax-reportable benefits.
