Position Overview:

QinetiQ US is looking for a Web Developer to join our MARCOM team.

Responsibilities:

Build a best-in-class User Experience on www.qinetiq.com/en-us (built in Sitecore)
Understand user interface and user experience in partnership with the design strategy – considering Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile experiences – deploying optimization efforts
Make UI/UX ideas into prototypes, establish outstanding interactions from designs, construct reusable content modules and ensure code maintainability for other team member (without complex coding)
Ensure compliance with accessibility regulations and requirements in the creation of designs.
Translate UI/UX design mockups into web pages leveraging existing libraries and components
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI and UX designs
Optimize output for maximum speed and scalability
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

Experience with Sitecore development platform
5 plus years of experience
Excellent proficiency with modern web markup, including HTML and CSS
Good understanding of optimization best practices, SEO principles, and adherence
Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud image editing tools; ability crop, resize, slice, manipulate and optimize vector and bitmap images for the web
Familiarity with best practices of web design, including cross-browser issues with ability to troubleshoot and resolve bugs quickly
Familiarity with Web Accessibility standards
Excellent time management and written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, rapidly changing environment
